An Otter in the Wrong Place at the wrong Time

From Redwall MUCK Wiki

Muenster is sitting in the grasslands, he looks across the area and chuckles, he is in a good mood tonight it would seem, he grins "I am winning..."

An otter makes her way through the knee deep grass of the aptly named grasslands. She is using her javelin as a makeshift crutch, her limp extremely obvious as she hobbles along; sling in her other paw, spinning it absentmindedly as she mutters to herself, mostly curses and death threats to a certain fox, of whom she is completely oblivious.

Muenster ears move as he hears a voice and one he seems to know, he goes quiet and grins as he sees the otter and draws his blade and slips closer to her.

Aeris simply stumbles on blindly, whacking at taller grass stalks with her sling, still murmuring to herself. The imminent danger is the last thing on her mind.

Muenster slips to the side of the otter maid and then waits, he then gets to right beside her and slices at her leg, the already wounded one and chuckles coldly "Hello now ta see ye again otter maid!"

Aeris attempts to jump back from the sudden strike, but only manages to fall on her back with a yelp of pain as the blade slices into her leg. She curses a few times, trying to scoot backwards away from him, javelin out on guard, sling lost in the tall grass.

Muenster grins and kicks her in the chest with his foot paws and goes to make another slice on her leg, he also tries to slice her homemade walking stick in half.

Aeris gasps as the air is forced out of her lungs, panting for air, she somehow manages to block the their two strikes, using a paw to try to drag herself away from her attacker.

Muenster left paw gets cut some and he growls low, he goes to stab her in the arm with his blade and claw her face with his other clawed paw.

Aeris pulls up her javelin to block the slice to her arm, but the distinctive sound of wood beginning to crack is heard by both of them. She cries out as his claws rake across her face, only a few inches higher than where they cut a few days ago. Blood flows into her eye, and she loses sight in one eye, though she though she's not sure if it's because of the fresh blood or something worse.

Muenster cackles as he goes to kick her in the side and smiles cold “You will die.."He goes to put pressure on the Javelin to completely break it.

Aeris finds herself whimpering with pure terror, which if she was in any other situation, would make her disgusted at herself, "No..." she manages to croak out, before her javelin cracks, one end flying off to one side, and the other end, sharp, splintered wood, nearly stabs through her shoulder. She rolls to avoid his blade, and starts the slowly pull herself, her blood staining the snowy grass.

Muenster grins at the sight of blood and goes to kick her swiftly in the side, and a hard kick too. Maybe hard enough to break a rib, he uses his blade to make a slice at her middle area and laughs coldly.

Aeris whimpers again as she is knocked down again. She's not sure if anything's broken, she's in too much pain otherwise to notice it. She puts a paw up to her eye, trying to wipe the blood away, while at the same time sliding backwards to avoid any more attacks. "Please, jus' leave me alone..." She moans, any earlier illusions of boldness shattered as she's reduced to a whimpering otter babe, at the mercy of her attacker.

Muenster grind "Leave you alone, I will I will...when know your die, heee heee" He takes his clawed paws and uses both on her face and one to each shoulder, he grins at the sight of blood "no one to save you...pity.." He gives one last kick at her side and backs up.

Aeris makes an attempt to protect herself by rolling up into a ball, but doesn’t have the strength to even do that. She is only able to flip him off weakly, showing her will is not completely gone, despite the fact that tears now mix with the blood on her face.

Muenster smiles coldly, "Well..this has been fun, but I should go, but not without knowing your remember this...if you survive “ He smirks and goes to kick her hard in the side again, and goes to punch her hard in the jaw, “I will not be found slyly...I have moved my den, and the only one who knows where it is is my captive"

Aeris groans weakly in response, not capable of any speech. She attempts to drag herself forwards, but collapses, her body going limp as she releases a tense breath, white on the cold winter air. She's out cold which is a very fitting metaphor, cause, you know, she's laying in snow... Get it?

Oz is wearing his cloak, hood up and over his head, he has staff with him as he walks quickly down the road, yeah he said he stay inside but a life may be in danger.

Muenster grins at the unconscious’s Otter and rises his blade "Let me end your suffering.....permitly “, He raises his blade, ready to make a final blow, he catches sight of movement and stops, blade not all the way to the otter yet.

Aeris is completely limp in Muenster's grasp, unconscious and bleeding from multiple places.

Oz sees the fox, and his vision lands on Aeris and then a growl comes from his throat, he steps forwards and looks at the Fox.."I think I know..who..you are! “ ,judging from his eyes, not a good idea to stick around.

Muenster eyes go wide and he quickly forgets the otter maid and falls over a log in a mad dash to get away from the badger, he may like to fight but he isn’t stupid enough to cross this badger, he twists his ankle in the dash and keeps running through the woods.

Aeris hits the ground with a thump that is just enough to bring her eyes open as she gazes around dazed, every movement causing her pain now.

Oz growls and takes a couple deep breaths, he picks up Aeris without a warning and goes to quickly run to the abbey, he can track the fox later.

Muenster gets out of site, he has to get back to his den.

rest from Oz(Thanks)

Oz quickly steps into the great hall on his way to the steps, he catches site of a probably half asleep Tristan "Tristan.." The voice is a half growl and normal, yeah he is still a little peeved, he heads on up to the infirm with his bundle.

Tristan rushes to follow the badger, more than a little curious about what he's carrying, "Something wrong, Oz?"

Oz gets to the infirm as Tristan follows him.

Oz lays Aeris on a cot as a healer rushes over, a sister pokes her head in and frowns.."Oh...my.." He looks at the sister who eeps softly and backs up a little, he mutters and takes a calming breath and looks at Tristan still slight anger there and some red fading from his eyes, he closes them "Muenster..."

Tristan gets a closer look at the beast on the cot and his mouth drops open at first, then snapping shut as a look of worry comes to his features, accompanied by a few tears. He pushes his hood back and kneels beside her, grasping her cold, bloody paw in his own, "What happened?" he asks, his voice quavering.

Oz lets the healer and another healer tend to Aeris, he stares at the ground.."A couple guards mentioned how she stormed out..so slipped out to find her, didnt think be too far...a fox, guessing....Munester" The name said with a growl.."Was attacking her, I stepped in and the fox dropped her and ran, I could of given chase but had to get her back to the abbey."

Though he can mostly control them, Tristan still occasionally has fits of rage, and it happens now, he reaches for his knife, but of course he doesn’t have it, his weapons stored in the gatehouse. He settles for knocking a jar of candied chestnuts to the floor, where sugary treats and shards of glass alike spin across the floor. He growls lowly, "He's dead! he's dead! I'll kill him myself!" he yells, and the healers back away slightly. The otter breaks down sobbing onto the side of the cot, still holding Aeris's paw tightly.

Oz watches and as the jar is broke he gets a novice to clean it up, He goes to lay a paw on Tristan's back gently and motions the healer to come back and finish tending to Aeris, he looks to Tristan "This fox will be found and dealed with, I know Flicktail and Jake have been looking for the fox as I speak."

Tristan looks at Aeris, and shakes the badger's large paw off, "Why did she go out alone then, if they were looking? Aeris wouldn't have gone alone if she had the choice!" After a few breaths to recollect himself, he asks, "Will she live?" his voice barely a whisper. The healer moves closer, "Beg y'pardon, sir?" Tristan fixes an icy glare on him and repeats himself, "Will. She. Live?" he says slowly. The healer squirms under his eyes, "Erm, it's too early to tell sir, but don't worry, she'll probably pull through," Tristan gives a snort of acknowledgement that sounds very negative.

Oz listens and frowns "I am not sure why she went off alone, I was with the dibbuns and heard of it after the dibbuns went to sleep..perhaps she got upset when reports came back the fox wasn’t found and tried to find it alone,"

Tristan nods to himself, "Sounds like Aeris," he muses tears flowing down his face. He still has ahold of her paw, since that's about the only part of her that's not injured. "Always was a headstrong girl, thought she could do anything all by herself." He lapses into a series of memories, muttering to himself. Had he been aware of his surroundings, he would have noticed Aeris' soft breathing return to almost normal pace, calm and restful.

Oz listens and nods "I..will leave you to watch over her, I will be in my room" He walks slowly out of the infirm and to his room.
