Aclidia Transaction

A simple day on Merchant Road introduces Jarvis to Aclidia.

The sun beats down heavily on the shores of Aclidia. The merchant Road is crowded this day filled with beasts of all shapes and sizes as they enter and exit the city gates for various reasons. With a storm on the horizon most just want to use up the last of the day light before the rain forces them to seek shelter.

Jarvis walks along the cirt streets on this day, he takes a look at the skys and shakes his head, he stops and glares behind him" Hurry up ya worthlesss!" A small hamster hurries along carring an armful of stuff from the market"Sorry sir..right away sir!"

There are several stalls set up along the road. Most are small time merchants, others are servants, slaves, or employees of merchants sent here to sell wares for their masters. One such beast is Sibyl. The red scaled lizard is laying spread out like a snake on the stone side walk. There is a rug under her and several pillows. The red scaled lizard looks about as bored as can be. Maffeo had ordered her to take some time off after her 'ordeal' sending her out to sell clothing on Merchant road. Seeing as how her skills are not in bartering, she has yet to sell a single garment.

Jarvis is looking at varies stalls, he stops at one and buys some new shoes and gives them to the hamster to carry, the hamster does complan at all and follows his master down the road as he stops where teh lizard is.

Sibyl is currently face down sunning her back. When there is a shadow cast upon her her eyes open wide. A customer! Finally! She rolls onto her back and begins to stand up. It's a bit of a struggle. The real reason Maffeo had ordered her away from the field is because of the big round belly she grew while in hiding. She was not to be allowed back into the line of thievery until she slimmed down and got in shape. Seeing how Sibyl was naturally lazy there is a change that it ended her carreer perminantly. Standing up Sibyl calls out to the cat, "Good morning sir!"

Jarvis rolls his eyes , "And what sort of service is that?" Take a nap and suddenly awaken!" The hamster decides to sit for now, hopefull he wont get punished for a rest himself.

Sibyl manages to keep her smile, resisting the urge to punch the cat in the snout. She deals with bandits and thieves on a daily basis, she can manage one crazy cat customer. Or so she tells herself. "One of a kind service. Looking for something special today? Prehaps a nice coat for the rainy season?" The fat bellied lizard gestures to a wooden rack of clothes caught somewhere around moderately wealthy to wealthy middle class garments.

Jarvis says, "I am not sure today, maybe a cape of red perhaps or a silvery color."

Sibyl nods her head as she has seen Maffeo do from time to time when making a sell. She gestures the beast over to a rack of clothing. "We don't have many capes here but we have more back at the shop. Silver or Red?" She looks through the rack. We have a couple of capes like that," thank all that is holy that she brought them, picking up a silver cloth cape she holds it up to the cat, "This one here comes down your back and wraps around one arm, giving you an almost noble look. I have another long flowing cape with a hood too..."

Jarvis smiles, "A hood would be nice, for the rain."He looks down at the hamster who starts to shiver "Oh fine rest...for now" The hamster nods quickly and takes the offer while his master looks at the cape and hopefully one with a hood on it.

Sibyl tosses the current cape over her shoulder. "Sure thing, one second." She dives back into the clothes rack. "Where was that thing? I know I just saw it...blazes! Blasted no good razzle frazzle AH!" She appears again like a velociraptor through the bushes, brandishing a shiny silver cape with a hood and a silver chain brooch that fits over a beasts neck. "Last one I have too."

Jarvis grins as he takes a closer look at it "Yes it should go well with my navy blue tunic indeed, how much is it miss?"

The lizard squints as she smiles. "Only 75 silver pieces. Quite a bargain if I say so myself!" In reality that would be a little more than her weekly pay check, or at least current pay check. Maffeo figures that a reduced income will help the lizard with her diet. Oh, that poor foolish wildcat. It's amazing how well he knows Sibyl and yet at the same time, doesn't know her at all. "Would you like something for your slave as well? Maybe the misses back at home, yeah?"

Sibyl ignores the 'slave' comment mostly due to the fact that she made her first sale! Money money money! Her eyes light up with greed as she quickly pockets the coins as if they would fly away at any moment. "I can agree with you there. Marriage, who needs it. If you want you can buy some clothing for your married friends, show them how much money you can spend with out being tied down by family or kids." She says hopefully, her tail twitching much like a cat behind her.

Jarvis looks at the seemly over happy lizard "No , not at this time.."He looks the hamster "Up!" The hamster obeys and nods as his master folds the new cape"Come its lunch time." They both walk off down the road.

Sibyl waves to them both. Smiling like a glutted dragon Sibyl decides it's time to buy some lunch of her own. The fifteen extra coins she gained from the cape actualy priced at 50 should buy her a fine meal. She looks at the shop, its only been a few hours since she set it up. The lizard shrugs and tosses an 'out to lunch' sign onto her bed of pillows before stalking off towards the nearest eatery...

Sibyl (Me) Lizard

The lizard standing before you is both young a perhaps a little short even for a lizard of her species. Her snout is long and filled with small pointed teeth. She has large hazel eyes and almost a perpetual smile on her lips. Small spike like fins make up her 'eyebrows' above her eyes. The fin like spikes converge on the back of her head and run down the length of her back and even her long flowing tail.

Sibyl will frequently add oils to her dark red scales to make them glisten and shine. While the majority of her scales are red Sibyl has streaks of blue around the edges of her eyes and also on the tips of her spikes. Her underbelly is covered in deep yellow scales starting at the back of her neck and running down over her stomach. The yellow scales branch out across her under arms to the palms of her four clawed hands, they also branch out across her inner legs and the underside of her tail.

The lizards scales are also saturated with a healthy, or perhaps unhealthy degree of flesh. Her tail, flank and chest have begun to thicken from her inactive life style, most notable around her midriff which sports a portly paunch.

The lizard wears a brown silk top cover. The silk garment wraps across the lizards front like a vest, leaving her back scales exposed save for the straps criss-crossing across the lizards chest and the small of her spine. It covers her down to the bottom of her chest in a downward V shape, leaving much of her waist exposed.

A belt decorated with wood beads and a topaz belt buckle fits around the lizards belly, holding up a sash cloth that hangs down both in front of the lizard and behind to her knees, leaving the sides of her legs exposed along with her bare foot claws.
