Moledeep: Dibbun's Garden

It's the morning after Kentar and Garnet came home to Moledeep. Aik had told Fira last night, what Kentar had said about what happened... especially about how the only reason he even came home was to bring vengeance against the Fox. Aik has gotten better about what happened, but he still grumbles when he thinks about it. Fira seemed less indifferent about it, but she may be holding it in for Aiks sake. That morning Aik wanted to continue reading the book from last night. So, they took a small breakfast outside under a tree near the pond. They both sat on a cloth, leaning against a tree. Aik has the book in one paw and his wife in the other has he reads. Eventually Fira had gotten tired of trying to decipher what Aik was saying when he sounds out the words. So she begins to doze against his side. Aik chuckles when he hears a light snore, "Heh... Night Fi..." and he goes back to reading.

Amethyst comes from the tunnel following the odd sounds coming from Aikuen. Since Fira's asleep she is unaware that the other otter is there. "Hello, Aikuen," the rat-maid calls out drawing closer to the otters, her walking stick guiding her across the gardens.

Aikuen looks up from trying to pronounce 'logical', and says, "Oh Hi Amy! How are you this morning!" He would wave, but it wouldn't matter too much to the rat-maid. He then strokes the side of Fira, who then stirs just settle deeper into him, "Fi is...eh... Fira is also here... but she talkin' a little snooze at the moment" he chuckles.

Amethyst nods hearing that Fira is here too, even if she is sleeping. "Kentar was in the infirmary with Garnet when I last heard them and Racky is sleeping," She hands the otter a familiar clay tablet, "I was told to give this to you and not to touch it except for the edges. He didn't say why." Amy can't tell if there's writing on the tablet already or not but assumes it either has a message on it or it's for the otter to write on, she's not sure.

Aikuen takes the tablet and looks at it, and chuckles while he slowly reads it. He carefully removes the clay necklace, so as to not make noise and places it on the ground near him, "Its just a message saying that Will went to the abbey... And will be back later..." He assumes that Will at least told her that, "Then there was a smaller note about Kentar at the bottom... which i will gladfully do..." He places the tablet on the ground in front of him. He then takes the necklace and carefully places it around Fira's head, so she will discover it when she wakes. He smiles as it goes well with her, and places a small kiss on her head, before looking back to Amy.

Amethyst nods some playing with the end of her braid which now has greenish brown cloth strips woven through it. Also her clay rose is missing. "He said he was going to th Abbey. Said I couldn't come. Said I'd get him thrown out." She scowls a little before asking, "What does it say about Kentar?" Will hadn't said anything to her about Kentar.

Aikuen nods, believing what Will said to be true, "Aye..." He could tell her why that is... but he is trying to be nice. He smiles and says, "About Kentar... It says that if he tries to leave again... that I should do more then just talk him out of it... If you know what I mean!" he laughs.

Amethyst frowns a little and asks, "I understand but would you actually do it?"

Aikuen shrugs a little bit, "Aye...mostly depends on what will happened... and how much he fights back..." He grunts a little bit. He would do it, without second guessing himself.

Amethyst says, "You'd fight your 'son'? ... strange I was under the impression you were too afraid to properly discipline your sons.

Kentar is back to using a cane for a while, but it doesn't seem to bother the stoat. He wonders around for a while, really looking around for Kluner. He hears voices and pokes his head around. "Good day all."

Aikuen eyes Amy, "I'm not afraid... I just have my reasons for not... I have a bad memory of physical discipline... I don't want to happen again..." he takes a deep breath, and places his head on top of Fira's, "But sometimes you have to tell them who is boss... Only as a last resort though... Oh!... Hey..." He gulps a little bit, as he sees the stoat "Morning Kentar..."

Amethyst sits down and plucks at her lute, "You may want to explain your reasons to your idiot son, he's that told me you were afraid. Hello, Kentar. Feeling better?" she asks hearing the stoat's voice.

Kentar looks around and peers at them before sighing at the question. "Doing well I guess. Physically. Still feeling bad about yesterday..." he looks to Aikuen. "Am I interrupting?"

Amethyst smiles, "Probably but we weren't talking about you, much."

Aikuen shakes his head, "No, come sit down... take a load off..." He laughs a little bit. He then turns back to Amy, "I have told him why... only once... thought it would be a good enough reason..." He hmms a bit, and sets the book down. Not gonna be getting much reading this morning apparently

Amethyst shrugs, "Maybe he didn't understand you. Given his background ..." she says trailing off.

Aikuen glances at the tablet, before looking back at Kentar, "We were mostly talking about why i don't physical discipline Will or..." He trails off, then continues, "I was pretty blunt when explaining it too him... But... If he asks... ill tell him again..." He doesn't like reliving those memories. He sighs and goes to stroke Fira's side again and she smiles in her sleep.

Kentar tilts his head and rolls his eye, sighing a little. "What did Will do this time?" he asks with a bit of a yawn, leaning back against whatever he's leaning back against.

Amethyst smirks, "He's being an idiot, he's not even here and his idiotness can still reach us."

Aikuen snorts, "I guess so!" he laughs a little bit, "But he is not being an idiot... Will is being Will... If that makes sense... Which it doesn't..." He hmms again and looks to Kentar, "Will didn't do anything...yet... Oh! He went to the abbey, he'll be back either today... or in a few days. That's about it..." That he is willing to part at the moment.

Kentar frowns a little. "Aikuen. What did he do? Going to the abbey doesn't make him an idiot. Even if he is one." he chuckles with a smirk before frowning. "Come on. Tell me." he looks at the two of them.

Amethyst says, "He didn't do anything. Aik and I were just talking about him and how he's an idiot." She starts tuning her lute and asks, ".. any requests?"

Aikuen shakes his head at Amy, "Nah Amy... Something nice though..." He yawns a little bit then back to Kentar, "He didn't do anything, I promise!" He hides a laugh and he kisses Fira on the head. All this movement has caused her to wake. She looks drowsily to all that is present. She smirks to Aik, and lightly slaps him on the chest, for not waking her. Aik uffs, and stands up bringing her with him. Aik smirks back at her, "Morning... again, Fi... Come on..." He glares at the others, to make sure they don't laugh at his pet name for her. He then leads her off toward the woods, for a little walk.

Amethyst strums a cheerful tune but doesn't sing it since she doesn't know the words to this one. "I don't think so," She waves a paw in Aikuen's direction, "Will had be give him a slate or something that said he'd gone to th Abbey and some other stuff I think but I can't read it even if I could see I wouldn't be able too," she smiles at Kentar as she plays and begins to hums along with the tune.

Kentar nods a little then lays back with a sigh, closing his eye. "Ah. Okay." he says quietly, the stoat yawning a little more. "So. Your glad I'm back?" he asks with a smallish smile.

Redwall Abbey: Kitchen Yard

It is raining, chucking it down, the yard is mostly quiet, most beasts have gone inside, but not Benar, he is sat in the kiln, watching the rain, waiting for some things to finish baking. The clay store is full after his trip with Layne to the river the other day so he can rest for a bit.

Will had been surprised when he'd come out to the kitchen yard and it was raining. It hadn't been raining when he'd left home. It was a very nice surprise after all this Summer heat though he now doubt he'd be able to use the kiln after all. "Benar?" he calls over seeing the squirrel, "Hey!"

Benar smiles at his young friend and waves, "Will! Hello there young rat! Glad to see you visiting us!" he smiled warmly and waved him over, "One of these days i'll convince you to stay and stuff you in a habit."

Will grins and shakes his head, "I don't think so. I look awful in green." He holds a rose out to Benar, "I wanted to show you this and mabe work at th kiln but with th rain ... I still make stuff though even without a kiln."

Benar smiles, lifting the rose, admiring it, turning it this way and that in the light from the kiln fire. "it is lovely, orph and well you are welcome to work here. It is dry inside."

Will ohs. He'd forgot the kiln was covered. "Great! ... I'll need that back before I go though I just borrowed it to show you. It's really good isn't it? It took forever to make but it'll last longer than a real one."

Benar smiles softly and hands the rose back, "Of course and it is beautiful Orph, simply stunning my young friend. Now then help yourself to some clay. But not out of the three covered buckets that is for Layne's work. Use clay out of the three big tubs.

Will takes the rose back and gently places it in his pack. "Miz Layne er what do you call her now that she's married? She's not /Miz/ Layne still is she? I didn't know she used th kiln too." the rat says as he takes some clay from one of the tubs and plops it down on a wheel, starting to work.

Benar smiles softly, "I call her Layne... but then I am her friend, and no she doesn't make pottery, but she helped me gather that clay so I can make some things for her to transport the honey to market with."

Will says, "Oh. I would have helped but I wasn't here and I was busy helping Pa dig th pond. We have a pond now at home, kinda. It's not quiet finished yet though. It is full of water already and there's stakes set up around it so Amy won't fall in and so before it had water no one else would fall in. Kentar's back and so is Garnet and I have a nephew now but he's scared of Pa an Stepmum ..... oh yeah Pa that is Aikuen and Fira got married a few days ago, isn't that great?!" the rat continues on as he works.

Benar chuckles warmly, listening to the rat talk, nodding to the comments and smiles, "I am glad they got married and your home is doing well." he opens the kiln, starting to remove things bit by bit and carries them into the Abbey.

Moledeep: Dibbun's Garden

Amethyst nods, "Yep. Very glad. How's Garnet doing?"

Kentar smiles a little. "Uh. She's fine. She woke up earlier today. Gave me a smack on the head for coming back only for vengeance. Then told me how sweet it was." the stoat laughs. "Why are you glad? We don't really know each other."

Amethyst smiles, "I know you better than most beasts and about as well as anyone else here with one exception, who actually isn't here. Why shouldn't I be glad you're back and alive? Without you around I'd have to talk to Aikuen and there are rules against my talking to otters.

Kentar rolls his eye and chuckles with a bit of a smile. "Well. Thank you I guess." he says with a nod. The stoat looks around and smiles. "Well." he looks about and sits up.

Amethyst turns her turns her head toward the stoat and squints at him through her blind eyes, "Well what?"

Kentar sits up and looks around again. "Well. I'm a little surprised that you think you know me better then the others." he says, even though it's probably true.

Amethyst shrugs, "I don't know the others all that well really, though I prefer you to the otters so far."

Will walks out the gardens having thought he'd heard beasts calling him. He plops down next to Amethyst as usual and takes her paw in his as he looks over to Kentar, "Hey, what's going on?" he asks having just gotten back from the Abbey.

Kentar looks up at Will and smiles. "Hey Will. We were just talking about how Amy knows me better then the rest of you." he chuckles before looking at them both with a smile. "So." he then grins, changing the topic. "When will we get to go to your guys' wedding?" he grins.

Will says, "Next Spring, probably at the Abbey so everyone can come."

Amy says, "Next Spring after a nice rainfall, in the rose garden like Aikuen and Fira had theirs."

Kentar looks between them and then laughs. "You two will really need to agree. But I think, it would be better here. Aikuen isn't fond of the abbey, and from what I know they're not fond of him." he smirks a little. "But its up to you both." he smiles.

Will says, "We did agree, but I'd like Benar an Flicky and everyone t be there an Flicky's Abbey Champion an Benar's in th order so it'd make sense t have it at th Abbey and they wouldn't throw Pa out so long as he follows th rules and doesn't do anything stupid - which he shouldn't do anyway."

Amethyst says, "We're still working on the details." She squeezes Will's paw hard, digging her claws into the back of it should he even think about leaving without her again.

Kentar nods a little. "Right." The stoat nods. "Well, whatever you two decide, Garnet and I will be there." he smiles. "Anyways. I wanted to invite you both you our wedding. Mine and Garnet's I mean." he smiles. "Probably next week. Now that we're back on schedule."

Will grins, "Great, we'll be there. ... Who's gonna do the talking part, like you did?"

Kentar chuckles and hrms a little. "Well. I was thinking about Aikuen or Fira. They did ask me. I guess it seems fair." he smiles a little.

Will asks, "Can any beast do that, what you did, for a wedding?" The young rat knows little about the way weddings work, he'd assumed the beast that 'did the talking' had to be an important beast like Abbot Nic or a captain of some kind to perform a wedding.

Kentar shrugs. "Usually a beast with some meaning. But it doesn't really matter who. As long as the couple agree on the person." he smiles a little.

Amethyst doesn't say anything she just listens and tunes her lute.

Will smiles, "Oh. So it could be any beast so long as they agree to do it?"

Kentar nods a little. "Yeah. I don't see why not." The stoat says. "Why? Did you have someone in mind?"

Amethyst says, "I am not responsible for any ideas good or bad that you help put into his head," before starting up 'the bard's song'.

Will shakes his head, "Not exactly. Not yet. Just wondering."

Kentar nods slowly. "Right." the stoat lays back down and chuckles. "Well. Anyways. Garnet and I will be having the wedding in a clearing in the forest we found after I got back from the fox's the first time."

Will nods.

The song ends and Amy goes to tuning her lute again.

Kentar yawns and stands. "I'm going to go start planning stuff with Garnet. She should be awake. Unless she fell asleep again." The stoat chuckles. "See you two later. "

Amethyst and Will wave to the stoat as he leaves, one rat plotting as the other goes back to tuning her lute yet again.

Will stretches out on the grass and since Amy still has a grip on his paw she may soon be following him.

Aikuen and Fira, walked around the grounds for a few hours. They mostly talk, just enjoying each others company, and being all mushy, of course! They both decide it was time for lunch, and Fira decided to make something with the stuff, that she had gathered yesterday. Aik was just about to follow her inside, when he forgot the cloth and his book. He goes back to the tree, expecting to see Kentar and the rats, but it seems that the stoat has left. He goes over to the spot and picks up his belongings, trying to be quiet, to not bother the rats.

Amethyst releases Will's paw and lets him lay down but places her now free paw on his chest so she can keep track of him. She moves closer and ends up half reclining against him as she starts plinking out 'My Rose of Old Redwall' on her lute, knowing he likes that one. "I have a new rule ... 'Will doesn't leave without Amy unless he has a /very/ good reason' and you didn't," she says as she starts to sing to the tune.

Will hums along with the tune and joins in Amy's singing, " ... her little bed /I made/."

Amethyst sings, "Alone I sat by my window as Autumn leaves did fall, they formed a russet cover for /My Rose/" she holds out a paw toward Will, "of Old Redwall.

Will passes the Terracotta rose to Amy, too busy to have noticed the otter or any other beast that may be watching them.

Aikuen tilts his head at Amy's new rule, "I don't think I'm gonna enforce that rule..." he chuckles at them. He is not gonna tease them (He wants to though)... He is being true to his word, since the day he has said that he wouldn't anymore, he hasn't. Standing up with his junk, he sees the rose pass, and chuckles again.

Kentar returns after a long while. The stoat isn't just himself though, since he has Garnet with him. "Evening all." he greets with a bit of a smile.

Amethyst had heard Aikuen but doesn't bother to respond to him just now as she takes the clay flower from Will and works it into her hair above her braid, still singing"Through Winter's dreary days she slept and otters should be qui-i-iet, when all the earth was /silent/, white snows lay deep around ... and why am I the only one singing now?

Will sighs, "Hello and it's a little early for evening still," he glances up through the trees at the sky, "No I've just been out here longer than I thought ... Would it do any good to ask why you are here?" he asks playfully.

Aikuen rolls his eyes at Amy. He doesn't like hidden messages...specially in song. And he will not be quiet!, "Well I could sing... But then you would have to cover your ears! It's dreadful, I'm told!" He can see the stoats and smiles and waves, "Oi! Stoats ahoy!" he chuckles.

Kentar blinks and looks at Will. "I didn't realize I wasn't welcome here anymore." he frowns before turning away and going to leave. Garnet just stands there baffled.

Amethyst pauses the already stopped song, "You enforce the rules? Well, I guess you would help but you didn't make the rules and even removed a punishment without replacing it, Racky eventually did thankfully but .... I don't know, Aik," she smirks, "Did you get permission to pick and choose which rules are enforced and which aren't?"

Will firmly but gently pries Amy's stick out of her paw, "What is rule twelve?"

Amethyst says, "There are only nine rules on the sign."

Will repeats himself, "What is rule twelve, Amy?"

Amethyst growls, "Don't bother Aikuen ... or Fira."

Aikuen looks to Amy, who is now forcing all of his attention, and he is gonna beat blunt with blunt, "First all of all. What are you talking about? What removal? What replacement? What did Racky do?" He rubs his eyes, and sighs, "And... sorry Will... But the rules are a total flem flam if you don't enforce them 'correctly'... and I just don't mean tossing them in the pond... For me that's not a punishment, it's fun!" he laughs, and continues on, "And... once again son I'm sorry, But I'm a major power here... I could break every single rule right now... and you guys couldn't do anything...at all" He smirks, to finally say that.

Kentar leaves. He's gone alright. "Kentar, where are you going!?" A voice calls out. "Away!" Garnet blinks a few times and frowns. "Uh..." She's not sure what happened before looking to Will. "You don't need to be bloody rude to someone you...you...stupid little idiot!" she frowns. The other stoat goes off to find Kentar before he does something stupid

Will had been so busy dealing with Amy he hadn't caught what Kentar was talking about at first. "Amy /shut up/ and tell Pa you're sorry and you'd better mean it!" the rat orders, too much going on too fast he can't keep up. He turns to where Kentar had been, "Kentar? Where'd he go? Kentar, come back here," he calls after the stoat not knowing any reason for his big brother to be mad at him. Will's head hurts and he's close to snapping if things don't start improving real soon.

Amethyst ignores the order and cares very little that Will still has her stick. She clumsily gets to her feet with great difficultly, "Garnet was that you I heard talk just now?" she asks with mock sweetness as she glares at where the voice had last come from, "Come here please, so I can have a word /with you/." She doesn't know Garnet's left already and would really like to tear her to pieces for what she'd said to Will.

There's some yelling. And there's shouting. ALL coming from where Garnet and Kentar went. "YOU'RE NO BETTER THEN HIM!" One voice yells. Garnet's. Some muffled words from Kentar. "YOU...YOU BIG IDIOT!" Crack. "OW!"

Aikuen eyes begin to twitch, as ONCE AGAIN he was ignored. He glares daggers at Amy, and clenches his paw popping his knuckles. He takes very deep breathes as Amy seems to break every Fiber in his body. He swore that he would never hurt a dibbun ever again... But that seems to be flying out the door at the moment. He pops his neck, and growls a little bit. But he does manage to looks toward the yelling, probably just saved Amy from a black eye.

Amethyst blinks, her anger turns to worry and she's helpless to do anything, even if she had her stick. "Why do we want them to get married again? If she kills him can I kill her a lot without being in trouble for it?" she ask half hopeful and half to keep from thinking about what's going on. If she had to pick from her new family-to-be, Kentar would come right after Will in a list of beasts she cared about.

Moledeep: Woods

When the rat gets out there, he would see Kentar, sitting on the ground, paw over his face. There's a ring on the ground too. The one he'd given Garnet. He's not sure what to do or think right now. Garnet has her own plan, and has gone off somewhere.

The rat stops near the stoat confused. There is no fight here now. He snarls at the stoat, needing to vent his anger somehow, "What happened?! Why did you leave?! I didn't do anything to you! Why did you leave?! Where is Garnet?!"

Aikuen says through his fangs, "Amy... Will said I am too afraid to hurt... But you... you... need to learn your place... You have done enough..." He stands up and picks up Amy by the scuff of her neck with his left paw, "And I know you can't see this coming... So I'm gonna tell you..." He laughs at his cruel joke, "I'm about to punch the hellgates out of you..." He raises his clenched paw and prepares, for it... And then it happens... After he clocked her, he drops the rat and says, "I've tried being nice... but you can only go so far..." But he remains where he is, to receive what coming too him from Will. But he has already hurt one rat... one more is just icing on the cake...

Moledeep: Woods

Kentar doesn't move aside from his paw. "She...left me." tears well up in his eyes. The stoat isn't quite sure what to do, and Will is almost totally ignored. After a few moments, he looks to the ratling. "She left...me..."

Will is in no mood to comfort the stoat right now and he move to hit him when he hears yelling from the dibbun's garden that makes his blood run cold. "Damn! I shouldn't have left them alone!" he hits the forest floor instead of the stoat as he turns back around heading back toward where Amy's screams had come from.

Kentar kept rubbing his face and then he heard the scream too. Okay. Self pity later, help now. The stoat get up and hobbles towards the garden.

Moledeep: Dibbun's Garden

Aikuen begins to pace, and venting his anger at, the out rat, "I can and I will beat you up... Even if you are blind and cant walk right... your mouth seems to work just fine..." He grunts and wipes some of the drool that he is collecting. He snarls loudly, as he want to beat up Amy, "It was all fine and dandy... till you came along... You're the cause... you..." He snarls again and motions to punch her again. He stops and goes to a tree, and starts hitting it instead, "I'm sorry Amy... But ... it had to be done..." he then head butts the tree, and snarls again. And goes back to hitting the poor oak.

Will comes upon the scene and raises up from all fours to standing. He sees Amy laying on the ground in a heap and Aikuen attacking a tree. He can't keep from shouting, "What did you do, Aikuen!" He draws his sword, "She had better be alive!"

Aikuen looks to Will. He has blood dripping from his head, and his paws are also quite bloody. He snarls again, and also draws his sword... and his dagger... "Hello William... Mr. Redfang... OH her... she is alive... don't worry about that..." He steps forward and twirls both sword in his paws, pawing the ground. He sees Kentar go over to Amy, and growls a little bit, but doesn't do anything... just glaring at Will, "She had it coming... and now... as I well as I know ...you will attack me... so do it..." he snarls again. This otter was pushed over the edge.

Kentar looks at the bruise then sighs. "She's alive!" he then looks to the two and gets to his footpaws, getting -between- them. "No! This is enough! You, Aikuen, broke the rules! There is no fighting here." he points to Will next. "And you, don't be stupid and fight him. He could crush your bones into dust if he wanted to." Amy's fine. Now he has to work on not getting these two to fight or die.

Will sheathes his sword, "Fighting is allowed in th gardens, I should know since I wrote th rules!" He addresses the otter, "I would have thrown this at you because of what it says, but that would be too kind. I'm thinking it would be better to have it melted down instead,' his voice drops in volume back to a normal level but it looses none of it's hardness. The rat does not back way.

Aikuen glowers at Will, as the words begins to hurt him on the inside. He sheaths his dagger, but he does something with his sword instead. He grabs it double pawed and plunges deep into the tree he was beating up. The sword goes completely through it and the point sticks out on the other side. He then turns back to Will, "I gave you that sword... Because I loved you, and I still do... and I wanted you to have something, so you could protect yourself..." He then points at Wills belt, "So until you accept that sword as gift, that a loved one gave to you... I won't use mine... A gift my Wife gave to me..." He then takes his dagger and shoves it next to the sword. He looks back to the others, and a few tears can be seen, "Sorry Will... I know it wont change what I did... I'll... I don't know... I'll go and die somewhere... Tell Fira I'm..." And this just tears him up inside, so he curses loudly, and falls to the ground.

Kentar looks at the otter then to Will before looking to the ground. "And I became a part of this family...why?" he mutters to himself before slowly limping to the otter. A swift kick to the gut with his good leg should be enough to bring him back to his senses. He hopes. "Someone better get Amy back to the infirmary. She'll probably have a huge headache when she wakes up." he says.

Will goes over to lift Amy, "Kentar could you help me take her in?" He can lift her but she's still taller than him and it's hard for him to maneuver while carrying her.

Aikuen grunts as he is kicked, and looks up at the stoat, "Go help Will... and Amy..." he goes to sit up and leans against the tree with the blades shoved through them. He goes to watch what is happening, "Wrap her head in a cool wet bandage... around the bruise... the swelling will go away in a few hours... and when she wakes... tell her I'm sorry..." he sniffs and rubs his head.

Kentar frowns at the otter. "No Aikuen. I won't tell her you're sorry. You, get the honor of doing that yourself. And I've got a few things to say to you later." the stoat frowns before slowly going back over. "What a time to make you guys think we broke up...Didn't work." he mutters. It was loud enough for the others to hear. So he just goes over to Amy and picks her up himself, taking her entirely in his arms as he limps off for the infirmary.

Will tries to smile and fails, "We needed you that's why or something like that. ... Sorry about Garnet ... If you run off and leave Kluna I /will/ hunt you down and take your tail /off/ this time." He's bluffing but he doesn't want the stoat to leave. "Fira's not gonna like this ... W-who's gonna tell her?" He's calmed down some as he holds Amy close and can see for himself that she's going to be ok. "... I'll probably regret this ... but what did she do that made you hit her?" He's really hoping she started it and not the other way around. "Wait! Kentar what did you just say?" he asks as the stoat lifts the rat-maid out of his arms. He protests at first but he does let Kentar take her. "And don't say nothing cause I heard you."

Aikuen nods just a little but to the stoat, "I will tell her... and I expect you to tell me off, and I'm ready for it..." He heard the other part Kentar said, and he wonders why he did that... But there are more engaging issues right now... he gets up and walks behind them with his paws behind his back, "Fira is not gonna like it... I will tell her... I have too... And as for Amy... it was kinda both of us... she finally just pushed me over the edge, and... she didn't believe I could do it... so I did... and there's more too it... But I am sorry for doing it... just got angry all of a sudden..." he sighs and lags more behind them.

Moledeep: Infirmary

Will takes a seat in one of the chairs, he's still holding Amy's stick. He's been holding it since he took it from her for bothering Aikuen earlier.

Kentar comes in behind Will and then sets Amy down on a bed, vanishing a few moments later. He returns with Garnet and a pitcher of cold water, and some cloths. He soaks the cloths in the ice cold water before setting over Amy's bruise to keep the swelling down. He's ignoring Aikuen for the moment.

Aikuen takes a seat far away from them. He still feels awful about hitting her, and he taps his claws nervously. Being told off is one thing... but being told off by Fira... he would rather die. He takes one of the unused cloths near him, and wipes the dried blood off his head and paws. He glances to the stoats then to the rats, but then looks down to keep his gaze down onto the floor.

Amethyst lays still but she's awake now. Her head really hurts but she lays still and listens trying to figure out where she is.

Will is also looking at the floor as he toys with Amy's staff, lifting it and letting it drop through his cupped paws to hit the floor and grabbing it before it falls so he can repeat the same action again. It makes a light thump each time it hits the dirt floor of the tunnel.

Kentar looks down at Amy then to Garnet. "Go get that potion I made up for when I get hurt. The green one." he nods. "It should do." He then sits on the edge of Amy's bed, touching her cheek gently. "Amy. How do you feel?" stupid question but its worth asking. "Your alright. Your in the infirmary." At least he thinks she's awake. Garnet returns with the vial Kentar told her to get. The stoat takes it and uncorks it, gently tipping it to her lips. "Here. Take a drink..." he helps her.

Amethyst blinks as she runs her paws slowly over the bed she's laying on. "I know this place. Not good. Head hurts," She can hear something hitting over and over on her right, but no other voices, "Kentar, where's Will?" she asks reaching a paw out her left feeling only an empty chair. She pushes the vial away and not wanting to take anything til she gets an answer.

Kentar pushes the vial back towards her lips. "He's right here. Say something Will." he smiles a little before trying to get her to drink. "Drink. It will make your head better."

Will stops playing the staff to lean over Amy's bedside and take her paw, "I'm over here. You need t take some stuff so you'll get better," He looks over to Kentar questioningly with his one red eye, maybe it's the lighting, he's not acting or sounding mad. He turns back to Amy again after a moment, "and no talking back, you /are/ going to take it."

Amethyst squeezes Will's paw, "You're on th wrong side." she smiles a little, "Finally come to your senses or there another reason you don't want to look at me? I get hit that bad?" She closes her eyes and lays back after taking the potion, with Kentar's help. "Yeah ... bet ... I'm ... I'm real ... 'beautiful' ... right ... right ... now ...h-" she yawns, ".. huh?"

Will smiles down at the maid, "Yes you are."

Amethyst says, "If I ... had my *yawn* .. stick. I'd ... I'd hit you." She blinks trying to keep her eyes open even though she can't see anything."

Kentar smiles as she drinks the potion. He corks it and then sets it away. "Now. Garnet, make sure they get along, and tell Will about our plan. I have an otter to yell at." The stoat stands and growls his stoat growl at Aikuen. "You, outside, now." he points at Aikuen.

Will nods, "I got your stick. You want it?"

Aikuen has been trying to get the courage to get up and say something, to say he is sorry for what he has done... mostly to Will, but he still feels bad... With Will's words still ringing in his head... he rubs his eyes with his paws. He remains quiet at the moment though... still pondering what will happened to him... And then Kentar growls at him. He stands up quickly and gives a very sloppy salute, "Aye...Sir..."

Amethyst yawns again settling down against the cot and snuggling into the blankets, "N-nah. You ... You hang onto it for me," she murmurs as she falls sleep still grasping Will's paw tightly.

Will strokes Amy's cheek as she drifts off to sleep, "Yeah, I'll do that." He turns to look at Kentar and Aikuen, "Don't ... you know." he was going to say 'don't do anything stupid' but he's about to give up telling that otter anymore and Kentar doesn't listen much better than Aikuen does.

Garnet looks at Aikuen and Kentar with a bit of a sigh before peering towards the others. "What happened?" she asks.

Will sighs, eye still red despite his not being mad right now. "I don't know. I really don't. Amy was bothering Aikuen and then Kentar yelled at me for no reason and then you did and you both went off and yelled at each other very loudly and I ... got mad and went t see why you and Kentar were yelling and when I got there you were gone and he was sad and I was gonna hit him, don't ask, and I heard Amy and ... I-I guess P-pa hit her ..." He closes his eye for a second and turns back to Amy opening his eye again to watch her sleep in case she should wake up and want something.

Garnet asks if Will wants to know why she and Kentar were yelling.

Will sighs, "It might help ... or might make things worse ... Alright, why?"

Garnet sits up properly. "Well. When you asked if Kentar needed to be there, it was the way you said it. He sort of thought that you didn't want him around. And well. He overreacted. I sort of thought the same thing for a few minutes but I realize that you didn't mean it like that. So. He figured that, to teach you a lesson about how you say things, we'd act as if I slapped him across the face and left him. Show you that the way you say things, really does hurt someone."

Will blinks as he processes this new information, "He ... He ... he's an idiot. He ... Watch Amy please." he smiles a little, "I need to go tell on my big brother." He goes off to the sleeping hall.

Garnet thinks for a moment. "Will. I really wouldn't go out there. Knowing Kentar, he's probably saying some really bad things to Aikuen right now..."

Will pauses, "Probably ..." He sits by the door, "... tell me if Amy wakes up again or ... well anything, ok?" Time to put his big ears to work once again.

Moledeep: Sleeping Hall

Kentar walks out with Aikuen. And then when they are in the middle off the room, he stops, turns, and tries to punch Aikuen's jaw. HARD. "YOU ARE AN IDIOT!"

Aikuen saw it coming, and could easily dodge it... and kill the stoat in the process. But instead he takes the hit completely. His head goes back forcefully, and his jaw snaps, as it becomes dislocated. He looks back at Kentar, and takes both of his paws and places it on his mouth, popping the jaw back into place. He takes a deep breath, "Yes... But she deserved it... and next time... try an uppercut, shove the fangs into my brain... jabs only work if you can break their skull..." he grunts out.

Kentar frowns. "No Aikuen." he goes to slap his face. "No! No she did not! She's a dibbun. It's what they do. They annoy you. Would you go around hitting my kids if they annoyed you? Or your own? Huh?" he goes to punch him in the gut. "No! No you wouldn't! And why would I want to kill you, huh? I don't want Fira to be a widow because of me." The stoat growls. "Let me ask you this." he aims a hook to the otter's jaw, attempting to dislocate it again. "When Garnet and I have a dibbun of our own, which will be soon, and when that dibbun gets to be Amy's age, and he or she says something you don't like. Would you punch that dibbun too?"

Aikuen doesn't even try to fight back, and takes the slap without even flinching, "Yes... she did... And I already did it too my own... and I lost her because of that... I lost my daughter... on that very reason..." he takes the gut hit, and doesn't even move, "Fira will probably leave me anyway... I'm the worst husband ever... I Hit little kits..." His head goes back forcefully, and he just pops his dislocated jaw back into place, "No I wouldn't hit your young... but I probably wont be around to see that anyway... congratulations..." as he begins to bleed through his mouth, and onto the floor. But he continues to stand there, taking it all without so much as a comeback, "And now I cant even run to Will anymore.."

Kentar punches the otter in the stomach again. "Yeah. You do. And when you lost your first daughter, I bet you didn't even cry. I bet you were glad she was dead. Right?" he frowns. "I bet you never even bothered to even think of how you should react. She was your family. You don't like Amy for the simple reason, that Will actually likes her." he growls and was about to spin kick Aikuen but winces and falls onto his tail. "Ow..." he mutters, rubbing his bad leg. "You, Aikuen, are not just a bad husband, but a bad father. Your a threat to Amy. No. Nothing she could ever do to you could make her deserve it. You are bigger, and stronger, and you can see. It was cheap. You're honor less waterdog. Some captain you turned out to be."

Aikuen takes the hit and coughs up blood, "I loved her... after she died... i couldn't go on... and i let the beasts that actually killed her... kill me also... But i survived..." He stands back up and now is having a hard time standing up. He has a bruised lung. "I'm glad Will found her... I'm glad she found Will... But she needs to learn that things don't always happened the way she wants them too... And yes she has led a bad life, but she still expects that..." He goes over and holds out a paw to the stoat, "I am... A bad, husband... father...otter...captain... And she probably didn't deserve it from me... by somebeast needs to tell her place..."

Kentar watches Aikuen for a while, quietly, before speaking again, ignoring the paw. "Look. When you talk to a dibbun, you don't treat them like a murderer. Amy did nothing wrong. I agree she needs to learn her place, but I didn't punch her. Did I? No. I will talk to her. I will tell her her place. But you?" he stands up slowly. "You will stay away from her after you say you're sorry. And when I'm well enough. You can expect me to leave." he growls. He turns towards the dormitory before stopping. "We were going to ask you to be our dibbun's grandfather when it was born, since mine and her's aren't alive anymore. But I guess we won't ask you now." some way to tell Aikuen, who was his best friend up to now, the good news about them.

Moledeep: Infirmary

Amethyst stirs, "Still here. Not good. How long do I have to stay here?" she asks assuming Kentar is still there.

Garnet goes over to her and takes her paw. "Kentar's off telling Aikuen off. You will probably have to stay for a day or two just in case." she says. "How do you feel now?

Amethyst smiles. She knows nothing about Kentar's trick and is still angry with Garnet for what she'd heard when the stoats were yelling. "You're Garnet aren't you? I've been meaning to get to know you better. Lean over here so I can see you, please," the rat-maid says hold out her paws to touch the stoat-maid's face.

The stoat-maid leans down and gives a bit of a smile. "I. I'm sorry about what I said to Will earlier. I overreacted. Not as much as Kentar though. Sorry you had to hear what I said. Its unusual for me to be so angry."

Amethyst cups her paws around the stoat's face before running them over her face a and bring them up to Garnet's eyes. "Did you now," her voice hardens and looses any false sweetness it had previously, "I do not take kindly to my future husband being talked to in that manner. ..." she drops her paws to her lap, "You should thank Kentar and maybe Aik too. If it wouldn't make him hate me I'd tear you apart and sew you back together with blunt needles just so I could kill you over again. You are very lucky Kentar likes you and should be grateful. Now go away." she grumbles angry that she can't make good her threat and even /if/ she could it would probably cost her one of her few friends.

Will calls over, "Amy, don't talk to anyone. It just makes them mad at you. ... Thanks for watching her Garnet. Sorry she's not in a good mood. She did get hit in th head. ... You don't have t stay in here you could go ... somewhere else ... maybe."

Kentar comes in and leads Garnet out to the sleeping hall, he's carrying two packs with him.

Aikuen enters the infirm. He goes over to Amy's bed and asks, "Hey... Amethyst... Sorry about before... Are you alright? Need anything... before I go?" he takes his money pouch and places it on the bed, "Here is what I got, on me... about two hundred gold coins... and some diamond rings... You two both live happy lives... alright?" He looks to them both.

Behind Aikuen, follows Kentar. Garnet looks at Aikuen and tilts her head. "What are you doing this time?" she asks. "He's leaving! Like the coward he is. He'd rather die then own up to his mistake," Kentar says. He limps quietly towards Amy's stick, and takes it, regardless where it is or who has it.

Will goes over to sit next to Amy, on her left side. "Well ... /that/ went /well/. You ... You need to not talk, to anyone ... ever." He blinks as Aikuen's now in here as well and teasing them again his son presumes from what he's hearing before he sees the money pouch and just stares at it before looking up at the otter confused, "Wha? Uh, what? ... Explain. Kentar, put that ... never mind ... sticks can't be that hard to find. Ok who's staying who's leaving and who wants to kill whom and one at a time please." He's really sick of all this.

Amethyst blinks, "I'm alive and you smell like blood. Lay down before you fall down, Aik. Also keep in mind any coins I am given I tend to keep." She feels around for the mentioned gold and grabs the money bag when she finds it. "... Ca- never mind ... none of you would /like it/. You are all so thin skinned or something."

Aikuen looks to Will and sighs, unaware of any stick-napping, "I'm leaving... for the safety of Amy and others... I will remove myself from your presence... probably to be never seen again... I'm sorry Will, Amy... But as Kentar has made it abundantly clear... just me living, is an endangerment to others... I'm going back to Ashruah... to fight the war I never finished... I'm leaving right after I tell Fira..." he stars to cry again, "Sorry I couldn't be more of a father... husband... but I'll make sure that never happens again..." He begins to take off every possession he owns and place them on the bed. All he has left are his pants, belt, and war-tags... and then Amy says that, and he has to sit down, "Wait... yes you can keep the money... but do you...do you forgive me?" he asks with a glimmer of hope!

Kentar has also had enough of this. The stoat comes up behind Aikuen and wallops him over the head with the stick, which shatters when it makes contact. "Stupid otter. It's for your own good. You're not going anywhere to get yourself killed." he grumbles, pulling off his two packs and setting them on the ground.

Aikuen takes the hit completely by surprise. He blinks a few times, and actually has time to scratch his head, before his eyes roll up and he falls to the floor. Completely out, and sporting a new cut on his head.

Kentar breathes a sigh of relief it worked. "Garnet, help me get him to a bed. Will, get the rope from the two packs. We're going tie him to the bed until he realizes that he messed up. It wasn't that bad of a mess up. But he doesn't have to leave because of it." He shakes his head and once the otter is on the bed, he takes care of that cut. He's shaking, obviously tired. "I really...need a nap."

Amethyst sighs, "I've been beat up before. I was the tenth of twelve dibbuns once. I ... And to think I compared you to one of my brothers," she shakes her head and smiles, "One of the stupider ones true but still. Good thing he'll never know about it, he'd probably try an slit my throat again for it." She laughs, "Those were good times. Try not to kill me and I'll do the same for you ... I'm keeping the money just so you know. And that had better not have been my stick you just broke, whoever you are! William, your family or owes me another stick. That's two sticks they owe me now. I'm going to sleep. The rest of you should probably leave so my punishment can start when I wake up. ... stupid rules."

Will had helped tied Aikuen on to one of the cots but otherwise has stayed rather quiet sitting by Amy's cot. His eye is still red for some reason, too much stress maybe.

"Amy, I will make you two sticks, better then the last ones, tomorrow. Promise." Kentar yawns after bandaging and tying Aikuen to the bed. "You wont be going anywhere Aikuen..." he pats the otter on the shoulder. "Now. I need to sleep. I'll see you tomorrow Will." he stands and gives Garnet a kiss before heading for his room. "And Will..." the stoat pauses at the door, Garnet next to him. "I'm sorry for overreacting earlier." he says before the two stoats head to bed, both having had a long day.

Will nods at the stoats as they leave. He takes Amy's paw in his and glance over at Aikuen before leaning over to poke Amy lightly, "Some family I got huh? This kinda thing happens I guess, but most days we aren't always trying t kill each other ... like when we dug th pond an when we planted th garden an other stuff. You'll be better soon and maybe tomorrow, before any of them wake up, we'll go out to th rose garden and watch th sun rise like you like t do." Will chats on and on to Amy's sleeping form till he just can't anymore and he too drifts off to sleep.
