Exits: [M]aster [H]ealer's [R]oom, [R]ecovery [R]oom, [H]ealer [D]orm [H]all, [B]ack

Otters: Chud, male.

Ferrets: Ferdinand, male.

Cats: Blisa, female.

Foxes: Valerie, female.

Chud has recovered quite well from his wounding at the paws of Krull. After only a few days he's chipper as ever, if a little more cautious than before. A bandage covers the nicely-healing wound on his shoulder--while he won't suffer any detriment to his arm's use eventually, he'll have a large, jagged scar there. He walks in to get the bandage changed and the wound cleaned. Seeing nobeast present at the moment, the otter sits down on an empty cot and swings his footpaws back and forth, his rudder thumping in time with the imagined beat.

And then the door opens!!!!!! And in comes Blisa, followed closely by Ferdinand and Valerie. The vixen spots the otter first (since they were having a conversation as they walked in here) and she quickly makes her way over to him. "Oh, hello! My name is Valerie, and I'm a healer. Do you need assistance?" The cat spots him next and pads silently over to him. "Hi! What happened ot you?" The ferret, who has an idea, follows his petite charge and says nothing, but the look on his face is one of slight dread.

"I just need a bandage changed and a wound cleaned and-or looked at." Chud says offpaw'dly. To Blisa, he says, "Hiyo. Got in a fight with a badger a few days ago. And no, I'm not joking."

Ferdinand groans in emotional agony and sits done on the cot, burying his face in his paws. "......wath it Krull???" he asks mournfully. Blisa looks between them, then crosses her arms in a no-nonsense way. "Okay. What did Ferdy not tell me that was obviously VERY important?" Valerie gets all the things she needs to help his wound.

Chud, glancing apologetically to Ferdinand, begins to speak. "Bandit and I, and Ferd here too, ran into a badger named Krull who demanded to face the village's 'champion' in single combat to take his head or somesuch. Bandit volunteered himself, except he brought me and some other lads with him to gang up on the badger. I think a Seer got the kill, can't rightly remember how it ended since I was barely conscious at the time. Fought Krull one-on-one for a bit, y'see."

Ferdinand glares balefully at the otter as Blisa makes small squeaky noises of shock. That's about all she can do right now. Valerie comes over and goes to start unwrapping the wound. "With what did he get you? Teeth? Claws? Sword?" She needs to have an idea of what's under here.

"Um, claws," Chud says uncertainly as he feels the wrath of Ferdinand. "Had me pinned and was gonna rip me apart." His usual casual mood is fading.

Blisa blinks twice, then whirls upon Ferdinand, who yells "Ah!" and scrambles until he's hiding behind the otter. The cat is upset now. "Why didn't you TELL me that there was a giant evil badger wanting to fight the non-existent Village Champion?!?!" Valerie continues to work on unbandaging the wound. "Please don't jostle him." is all that she adds to the conversation.

Chud feels--and looks--awkward at being used as a hiding place from angry, short cats. He lowers his head as the argument plays out, only contributing an occasional blink.

"I didn't want to add to your worrieth! You had enough goin' on with Jathe!" Blisa sighs and rubs her eyes. She looks tired. "That was probably a good idea. I just wish I had been told sooner....I haven't seen Bandit, and this is the first I've heard of this whole thing. Did he get killed, do you know?" For all she knows, he might've been eaten and nobody told her.

As Valerie unwraps the wound, she sees that it has been relatively well-cared for--Chud will bear a scar, most likely, for the rest of his days, but there's no sign of infection. "No, Bandit's fine," he says to Blisa. "He was headed back to the village last I saw him."

"Okay, good." Blisa sighs and sits down on the floor, criss-cross-applesauce. "Thank you. I'm glad you didn't die." Ferdinand relaxes and flops down on the cot that the otter is on. That was nerve-wracking. Valerie smiles when she sees the wound. "Well, you're going to have a beauty of a scar, Mr. Otter," she doesn't know/remember his name, "But other than that, it looks great--well, as great as any battle-wound can."

"Thanks doc," Chud says, his affable, cheery mood returning. "Name's Chud by the way." He grins slightly. "I'm gonna head to the market, see if there's anything good." He stretches and stands up once the wound is re-bandaged, and heads off, nodding goodbyes to everybeast.
