Salamandastron: Caverns - Boxing Chamber

Minus a boxing partner, Taye is taking out the day's aggressions via the punching dummies. His paws are wrapped up to protect them from getting too damaged, but he really is beating the hell out of that dummy. His strikes are undisciplined, however - erratic. He's expending far more energy in this beating than a more experienced hare would. But in the end, the result's the same.

Terrance walks into the boxing chamber, eyes roaming the room as he enters, "Nice." he says, suggesting that he might have just been exploring rather than known where he was going. He then hears the pounding and glances towards Taye and blinks a bit, "I think you got him chap" he calls out after watching for a minute.

Taye's ears perk mid-swing and one last punch reaches its destination before Taye turns, his chest heaving from the exertion. "H..." He takes as deep a breath as he can manage. "... Hey."

Terrance walks over towards taye, taking a look at the dummie he had just been pounding at, hitting it on the side lightly to see how heavy it is, "Didn't realize there was a boxin' chamber down here. Just figured the training room was it as far as the close combat went. Ya down 'ere often?"

"... Lately, anyway. Next best thing t' takin' a run on the beach." Taye shrugs and rubs at his sore knuckles. "Colonel Zoe runs a boxin' club. I've been goin' t' it... tryin' t' work on m' close combat."

Terrance hms, "Really? That sounds like something fun. Although not sure if'n I'd really be interested in that at this point." he says, resisting the urge to rub his sore muscles. "It gets a little easier after a while don't it?"

Ralai walks into the room after hearing somebeast

"... I guess." Taye looks a little uncertain about this, though, and he turns back to the dummy and gives it another kick and a punch. "I'm just hopin' it helps."

Terrance takes a step back as Taye starts having at the dummy again, wanting to make sure he doesn't get hit by one of the misses. "Well guess they say practice makes perfect, eh wot." The younger buck glances towards the wall. "So you said you grew up 'ere?"

"... More or less. Used t' live in Halyard when I was real young." He gives another experimental kick to the dummy, which answers with a satisfying thud. He smirks.

Ralai moves forwards towards the two hares

Terrance moves to a dummy near by and gives a kick at it. The kick really isn't that pretty and doesn't really do much to the dummy. "So ya probably know the mountain pretty good then. What else is down in these caverns?" he asks. He spots Ralai out of the corner of his vision then and nods, "Hallo Ralai." he greets and then throws a punch at the dummy without any gloves. Big mistake. After he makes contact, the tawny buck lets out a quick yelp and shakes the offended paw.

Ralai moves forwards a bit faster saying "hello uh...sir"

Taye looks to Terrance as he shakes his sore paw, and laughs. "... Not such a good idea, tha'." Hee. A couple of more punches are delivered, square to the dummies mock-up chin. The dummies head jerks backward at the impact. Grunt. "Archery range. Cells. Lotsa tunnels 'n' caverns. An undahground spring..." Kick. He flicks a glance at Ralai out of the corner of his eye.

Terrance assumes a 'no duh' expression at Taye's comment, "Yeah, I think I figured that out chap." Smirking a bit he kicks the dummy for good measure, once again not being the prettiest looking kick but this one makes a little more noise on contact. "Hm, that spring sounds like it'd be nice. Anyway, I've got an early morning. I hear they're goin' ta be rousin' us fightahs up for a little early mornin' exercise so I'd bettah head back up ta my room."

At Terrance's words, Taye stops his beating of the dummy and turns to the buck, once again rubbing at his knuckles. "Sure ya don't wanna stay 'n' have a little match first?" He grins - messing around, of course. He reaches out and pats Terrance on the shoulder. "Nigh'. See ya t'morrah."

Terrance chuckles and says, "Sure chap, just not tonight." He gently hits Taye on the shoulder in return and grins. "See ya around, if I survive the mornin' anyhow." He then turns and walks out, making sure he gets out of kicking distance with his first step just in case.
