Salamandastron: Training Room

With Darklett off somewhere, Audri is trying to find a way to entertain herself and 'unken. So, naturally the dibbun has wandered into the room fully of weapons and training hares. Being her sneaky self, Audri tiptoed off into the armory with her doll. After a few moments, a loud crash erupts from the armory room, a few weapons spilling out the door.

Taye had been /attempting/ to do some pull-ups, but he's not very good at them. What with having difficulty reaching the bar and all, he'd ended up having to pull over a bench to help himself up. The interesting part is kicking the bench far enough out from under himself that he can hang freely. Aaand... this is what he's in the process of doing when the crash comes from armory way. Turning his head towards the sound, fairly panting with his pull-up attempts, he drops down from the bar and, kicking the bench on his way past, jogs over to the armory door, where the weapons have fallen. Crouching down to pick them up, he peers inside.

A few shelves have tumbled over, weapons scattered across the floor. In the midst of it, a tip of a bushy tail protrudes through along with the head of a certain ragdoll wearing an eyepatch. Some whimpering comes from under the pile mixed with a few sniffles.

Tuckworth has arrived.

Mrf! With a stricken look, Taye scrambles back up and hop-skips over the pile of weapons in the doorway and over to the collapsed shelving. That tail certainly looks familiar. "Auree!" He grabs hold of her tail and kind of pushes the shelving around it away.

Audri squeaks, not liking the tail grab. The shelves are soon moved away easily, revealing a stabbed 'unken, and Audri with a dirk sticking into her leg. She sniffles, taking a glance to see who found her. "'wo." Audri mumbles quietly, ears folded over.

Taye's stricken look only proves to worsen at the sight of the dirk sticking out of her leg. "... Auree." Meep. Going a little pale in the ears, he reaches a paw out tentatively and touches it to the handle, but can't bring himself to do anything more than that. Looking over his shoulder and back into the training room, he yells out, his voice cracking a bit, "Help! Someone, we need some help in 'ere!"

Audri squeaks again, nose crinkling up while her teeth sink into her bottom lip. "No touch. Huwts." She mumbles, glancing over at 'unken with a frown. The poor doll has a tear on his stomach, his stuffing coming out. ;_;

Yeah, no kidding. Hurts Taye just looking at it. And either everyone's just ignoring him, or they can't hear him over the general clatter of weapons and talk. Whichever, Taye runs a paw anxiously through his headfur, and turns back to Audri. "... Okay. I'm gonna... gonna pick ya up, now. I can't take it out, 'cause it'll start bleedin' real bad, so... so... I'm gonna carry ya. And we'll.. we'll go to the infirmary. Okay?" He crouches forward, to tuck slightly shaking arms underneath her, trying to be careful of the leg and the dirk. Which is complicated by the fact that he's avoiding looking at it. ;p

Tuckworth hops in, looking about the room. "Bu'? He asks, looking at Taye for a moment. The rabbit moves past him, seeing a squirrel roughly his size on the other side of the room. Tuck makes his way over, winding through the wreckage. "Boo boo." He says, pointing at her leg.

Audri nods, but points to 'unken looking all worried. "'unken gots ta come too." Audri makes another tiny squeak when lifted, but she quiets down, settling back in the buck's arms. Audri peers down at new dibbun curiously, tilting her head.

Tuckworth peers right back up to her, then down to the doll. The rabbit leans over gathering it up in his paws. He stands on his tip toes, trying to hand it to her. The rabbit still falls short, however, and he retreats, crouching on the door. "Can't weach." He says sadly, holding the doll out so she can see it's ok.

... Erf. Taye looks around for 'unken in the mess, but fortunately Tuck plucks up the doll. Stepping over the debris, he makes his way to the door where Tuck is, and stops for a moment. He looks down at the rabbit - at first thinking his eyes are playing tricks on him, but no, it really is a rabbit - and worries at his lower lip anxiously. "Wouldja follow us? We need t'..." He trails off with a 'heh', and shakes his head a bit, clearing it. And just concludes with, "Follow us," before heading out the door.

Salamandastron: Level Three

This is the main intersection chamber on the third level of the mountain's

catacomb-like tunnels. Numerous passages lead off in all directions from

the almost perfectly round clearing, hewn into the living rock.

Darklett frowns at the sudden mood change in the hare. "...Hey, Buck. I was just running my mouth, you don't... You know. Have to keep going with this if you don't want." He steps over and puts a friendly paw on his shoulder. "Just let me know if you don't want to, I won't think any differently of you." He squeezes the shoulder, shaking it slightly, before letting go and starting to walk further into the mountain. "Now, let's go find out what Auree and Tuck're up to, eh?"

Buckthorn pushes himself off the wall, wiggling his snout and smiling at the other. "Right. Y'know I trust yeh wid meh friendship, mate." He says with agreement, moving on the heels of the other buck. "I wonder where my own lil' rascal might be..." He says aloud, looking around as if the rabbit was right there.

Darklett grins, nodding to Buckthorn affirmatively. "Yeah, I know that... And I hope you know I trust you the same way, Buck. Well, sometimes Auree's in my dormitory, but I don't know about that for sure, and I have no idea where Tuck might be. Heh, we should start looking now."

Audri, at least, is being carried up the steps from the lower level by a somewhat frantic-looking Taye. There's a dirk sticking out of one of her legs - which would possibly explain why he's making a bee-line for the infirmary when he notices the grouping of other beasts and stops dead, shaking with worry and his own special brand of nearlyfainting-at-sight-of-bloodness. "Heeelp."

And down comes the other Hare, the new one, an odd look on his face, eyes wide and all that lot, a shake of his head and paws move up to brush the backs of his ears for a moment eyes looking towards Buckthorn and Darklett a raised brow given before nodding. "Right wierd up there lads." says Shamus as he comes to stop, surely, not speaking about the weather, was he?

Tuckworth has arrived.

Audri sucks on her thumb, sniffling as Taye carries her, eyes staring at her leg. Her ears perk at the voices, and she immediately tries to shrink in Taye's arms out, trying to go unseen.

Tuckworth comes pelting up right behind Taye, his eyes wide and a doll tucked gently under his arm. He hop skips after the two, squeaking as the puts out all his energy into his plight. The rabbit stops as he see's Buckthorn. "Bu'!" He squeaks, changing his course to go right for Buckthorn.

Darklett jumps at the sudden entry of Taye and Audri, his eyes immediately wide open. "Auree!" He begins to rush towards Taye. "What's wrong, Taye? What happened?" He looks warily down at the dirk in the squirrel's leg, then back up at Taye, his eyes demanding answers. Now.

Buckthorn leans down, gathering the dibbun in his arms. "Tuck... Tuck!" He says, glancing over at Audri. "Oh no..." He says, looking at the rabbit dibbun. Buckthorn hugs Tuck into him and moves up next to Dark. Buck presses gently up against the other, hoping to calm in. "Perhaps the Infirmary would be th' best place fer talk...?"

Taye very literally shrinks under that gaze, and inadvertently glances down at Audri's leg in his attempt to avoid returning it. Mrf. Head spinny. "I... I dunno. I found her... she was in the armory, shelvin' all ovah the place..." He trails off and shakes his head, looking over at Buckthorn with something akin to love - or maybe just gratefulness. Heh.

Audri shrinks down more, tail moving up to cover her when Dark comes over. She does peek over at Tuck, frowning as the rabbit is letting all of 'unken's stuffing fall out from his wound.

Shamus has stayed quiet since getting down keeping back for all the traffic and such that now flowed right here, a raised brow for a moment, but he says nothing for a few minutes before the burr comes back up. "Ever'yone alrigh?"

Tuckworth snuggles into the buck, his head resting gently in the fluff coming from the top of Buck's tunic. "Sqwirl go'da boo boo." He says peering over at the other dibbun. He notices her frown and holds the doll out as far as he can reach. "Hewe." He says, struggling to reach.

Darklett glances once again down at Audri's leg, before nodding. "Yes, let's get into the infirmary." Darklett goes silent after that, but his clenched fists don't release themselves as he waits for the buck who carries Audri to move to the infirmary.

Buckthorn gently takes the doll away from Tuck, handing it over to Darklett. "Calm yerself, Dah'rk." He says, with a deep breath. "'Ave yeh fer'gotten ah'bout me being ah 'ealer?" He asks, looking at the other. His arms squeeze the rabbit lovingly. "Yer Auree's gonna be jus' fine... dibbuns get intah this sort o' mess all th' time."

Nodding very quickly and very nervously, Taye continues past the others, with a final glance at Darklett before entering the infirmary.

Audri leans over, grabbing 'unken and hugging him close, while she inspects his wound.

Salamandastron: Infirmary

  • -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

This is the infirmary for the long patrol. This room is one of the most

well lit rooms in the whole of Salamandastron, with several candles placed

strategically along the shelves and cupboards. Many wooden beds line the

walls of this room, each outfitted with impeccably clean white linen

sheets. This unfortunately limits the walking space in this room. Where

there are not beds there are shelves and cabinets that hold a variety of

different medical equipment, mostly needles and bandages. A single stone

sink is firmly lodged into one of the counters. The sink is not fancy, in

fact it is quite awkward. It is a necessity, nonetheless. An open closet

is in the corner of the room, storing a surplus of compact cots, in the

unusual case of mass injuries. The room usually has several nurse hares in

it, roaming around tending to various injuries.

Just as soon as he can, Taye is across to a cot and lowering Audri onto. Trying at a reassuring grin for the dibbun's sake, he mostly just pulls off looking sick as he steps back, making way for the others, and most especially for the healers. His calves hit the cot behind him, and he sinks back onto it with a shaky sigh.

Darklett follows in soon after, his fists still clenched, his eyes simply staring blankly in front of him as he tries to calm himself. He moves to the side to allow Buckthorn through, his eyes moving to the other buck to watch him as he takes a few steps backwards, his paws being shoved in his pockets.

Ahrm? Quite the change from the normal quiet-pace in the infirmary. Rah looks up from the leafs of parchment held in front of his ahh-I'm-reclining-too-far-in-this-char face, peeking at the new flurry in activity. Well. He stands, and rights his uniform, walking his way over to the lot. "What's this?" he enquires, looking from the Taye to Audri. He almost looks worse than she does.

Audri seems more preoccupied with 'unken, as she's inspecting the cut on his side, with a frown. Sniffling, she pets 'unken's head while mumbling something to him reassuringly.

Buckthorn stomps in, the young rabbit dibbun still held gently in his arms. He sets the young one on the ground next to Dark. Buck brushes off his tunic, freeing it from rabbit fur. "Right so I think..." He begins and then stops, his eyes falling on Rahier. The buck coughs, and gets shivery. "Uh... right. Well... no need for me here." He says, turning on heel, starting to head right past Darklett.

Taye's no help. He just looks up at his dad and shakes his head, avoiding looking at Audri /and/ Darklett, at this point.

Rahier kneels down a little, observing said dirk in said squirrel-leg. "Wasn't I tellin' y't'be more careful?" he whispers, to the girl. Grin. Ahem. "Well. That's nowt too bad.." Mostly ignoring all others, he totters on over to the basin, collecting all his doodads.

Darklett remains quiet, actually smiling a little as he sees both Rahier -and- Buckthorn, thinking he's got two healers he trusts on the job, what could go wrong? He looks down to the little rabbit, squatting down to give him a little pat on the head, only to stand up and see Buckthorn walking past him, in the other direction. He turns around, watching the other buck leave with a look of disbelief on his face. "Hey, B-" Darklett stutters, then stops, glancing back at Rahier, the only semblance of a smile fading into a mix of anger and confusion.

Audri nods to the major, trying her best to restuff poor 'unken. "U'uh." She murmurs through her sniffles, chin resting on 'unken's head. "'oo fik 'unken too?"

Buckthorn scoops up the rabbit and shoots an apologetic face to Dark. "I... I... M'sorry..." He mutters and holds Tuck close to him. He moves out, trembling visibly.

Tuckworth moves out with the Buck, squeaking and holding out his paws. "Wanna s'ay!" He whines, looking at Dark as they go. "Dun' wanna go!" But none-the-less, the rabbit is carried out.

Looking at Rah a bit incredulously at his 'not too bad' comment, apparently the answer of whether or not Taye would mind having a dirk sticking out of his leg is finally answered. Not that there was much of a question, there. Anyway, he at least looks to be calming down a bit, and his worry is quickly replacing itself with embarrassment. Trying to redeem himself, he stands up, "Uh... maybe I should go clean up the armory. 'Tis... kinda a mess." Ahem. Yes.

Rahier collects a whole lotta stuff in his arms, ignoring all such nasty-looks and angst. He is, after all, the master of this domain. And he has that.. ever-jaunty thing going on. Ahem. He pauses to look to the white-pallored Taye and considers. It would probably be best if he didn't have to see those icky things, yes? "Oh, certainly.." Mrm. He grins and walks on past, flumping down next to Audri. Dum dee..

Ahem. Darklett shakes his head, and seems to change moods almost instantly. "Not bad, Rah? Oh, that's good, you look like you have things under control. Need any help with anything?" Darklett offers, his paws still stuck in his pockets as he rocks back and forth on his heels.

For having a dirk in her leg, Audri seems quite calm compared to everyone else. She slowly leans down to poke curiously at the wound, nose crinkling up as she squeaks. Audri glances up at Dark finally, holding up the ripped doll. "'unken needs fiking."

Rahier wrinkles his -own- nose as Audri pokes at the wound. He takes her paw, and moves it out of the way. "Don't do that, dearest." Cough. Yes. The hare selects a jar, pops the top, and spreads some of its strong-smelling pastelike contents around the area. He snorts through his nose at is as he closes it gratefully, and then leans on in to.. pluck out the dirk.

Backstepping silently away from the now-small group, Taye eventually turns away, looking sufficiently chagrined as he exits.
