Meeting in Office

FV:Town Hall:Chieftain's Office(#226082R)

This is an office where the Chieftain does some of his work. A large desk sits in the room and has varies important papers on it. A chair is by the desk and a window looks outside.

Exits: [H]olding [C]ell, [B]ack

Scioto is sitting at his desk looking over things and trying to catch up on things, he has spoken with a couple guards and even cleaned up in here and so is at least a little less busy now.

Astra walks up to the door and knocks, she waits on a response before proceeding inside.

Scioto looks up and sighs, “I am busy, come back later" He reads threw a paper and jots down some notes with his quill.

Astra frowns, "It was important...please", She waits as she doesn't wish to disturb him.

Scioto looks at the door as he hears Astra's voice and stands, he goes to open the door and nods "Greetings, what is it, Maybe a guard can help..trying to do work that piled up"

Astra offers a smile, "You work too much, know that"

Scioto folds his arms over his chest, "I do not, and some do not work enough, if that is all you have to say, kindly leave, that was not important and I will have a guard bring me some lunch later"

Astra shrugs, "Well was important to me, but its ok. I know to not disrupt you when you’re in your office"

Scioto nods as he sets back down, "Good, always wise to follow rules around here, things in order and get things done, like this festival...make sure there is food and drink, not a lot but good amount...let Redwall have the grand fest, not me. This is for the village..my village, it’s special to them and those who live here"

Astra says, "Of course, makes since as Redwall will have their own others outside of the village can go too, to Redwall"

Scioto nods "Yes and beasts better understand that, have it in the town hall, also Tavern if anyone wants to go there."

Astra nods "Course, don’t have a lot for like...a lot"

Scioto shakes his head "No, we do not, we are low some things, out of a couple things like nuts just about out, we ran out of carrots too, not that a lot ate those and just about out of onions and only one barrel of October ale and that’s only 1/2 full."

Astra says, "Don't worry Scioto, things will be fine, don’t need certain ales, beasts can live without carrots for a while."

Scioto says, "Its plating season just about too, least have help with that, takes place very soon plant lots of crops and even needed herbs for the infirm and some for cooking, our mill is making and storing last of the cornmeal till later on, we have lots of seeds so no worries, we will be very well off this fall and next winter, long as no disaster strikes again but more guards, better walls that recently been repaired of holes ,stops that possible trouble there, and more patrols, better shifts of those patrols, thinking of getting a bouncer for tavern too"

Astra says, "All sound very well planned and thought out"

Scioto nods "And some think I do nothing in this village, I do a lot, yes been very busy but if one rests, things fall apart and get out of order"

Astra listens as he talks, “You doing ok in all this?"

Scioto nods "Course I am, when not distracted by annoying beasts and no..not you, just some upset me and sure I upset them too, beasts want more pit fights, hey some music ad tavern fun, sorry cannot always get those. I cannot do everything and beasts think I can and when everything is not perfect or I don’t smile, all of the time or not perfect it’s oh fix it..." ,He sighs and shakes his head.

Astra says, "I am sure beasts mean well"

Scioto rolls his eyes, "Do they? They claimed to want to help but stress me out more" ,He closes his eye and leans forward face in paws.

Astra walks over slowly and goes to rub his shoulders and back to try and help.

Scioto feels this and sighs, though he does seem to try and relax and let her help ease his stress.

Astra rubs his shoulders and back some for a little while ad steps back “Any less stressed?"

Scioto nods "Some, how are you?"

Astra answers, "I am better than I was yesterday, think your sister will be back?"

Scioto shrugs, "Up to her, she is a captain of a ship, so probably going back to that, where she is most likely needed"

Astra says, "I do agree, let a beast choose what to do or not do in life"

Scioto nods "Yes, always important"

Scioto looks to her "Yes, what is it you need?"

Astra seems unsure how to say anything and so choices words wisely, "You have helped me a lot and, thank you for that, if wasn’t for you may of not even be in Mossflower or alive for that matter, why did you go looking for me after that storm?"

Scioto says, "I made a promise to help you and didn’t want to break a promise, and I am glad all turned out ok and that you are now safe and decided to stay"

Astra smiles “Yes I stayed and don’t plan on leaving"

Scioto nods, a slow smile forms, "Still glad you stayed, you have cheered me some"

Astra smiles more at his smile, "I can cheer you up more"

Scioto chuckles a little. “I should get back to working, a lot to still do in sort amount of time"

Astra nods, "Well I said I help with the feast and if it’s just the village won’t need to much work and when comes time to plant crops I will help with that also"

Scioto says, "Both happen about the same time, before crops placed though will need to ready the fields, clear them, prepare for planting of crops, that sort of thing."

Astra nods, "Well the stronger beasts can help with that and others with planting"

Scioto nods "Yes," He gets his quill and writes some things down, "Lots to do in next few weeks"

Astra says, "And I will help best can with it"

Scioto nods “Maybe you can help with another issue here in village"

Astra asks, "what would that be?"

Scioto says, "Well if Raymond heads off for couple days will need extra guard help, I will handle his job till he returns, sighs...more work, fun"

Astra nods "I know, maybe he won’t be away too long,"

Scioto shrugs, "Who knows, he should just stay here, make things less stressful and not more stressful"

Astra nods "I agree with that you don’t need more stress than you already have"

Scioto answers, "True, he should know too least tell me, Raymond is head guard after all"

Astra nods "Yeah I know"

Oakenpaw has arrived.

Scioto leas back in his chair, “Will have to have a meeting with him soon, discuss some things "

Astra says, "I am sure he will listen"

Oakenpaw says, "I am not so sure about that"

Scioto raises an eyebrow, "Raymond better listen to me"

Astra looks at Oakenpaw as he speaks .

Scioto says, "And you should knock Oakenpaw"

Oakenpaw asks, "Why would you need to talk with Raymond?... oh Sorry chap" he's chewing some dried apple"

Scioto says, "Issues with guards, patrols and that sort of thing he is head guard"

Astra looks at Scioto, "may I be excuse now and in case need to know I will be back on duty this afternoon like planed"

Oakenpaw says, "well It doesn't sound all that serious"

Scioto nods to Astra, "Alright Astra, thank you for coming by."

Astra smiles and exits the office quietly.

Oakenpaw exclaims, "Have a good Astra day!"

Scioto watches her exit and looks to the hare, "Lots to do in next few weeks, so if will excuse me..” He gets back to work.

Oakenpaw decides to head back to the infirmary.

Scioto shakes his head and gets back to his along afternoon.
