The Otters of the Lake.
Characters: Aikuen, Fira
Location: Near the Govi's house, Lake Silverwater
Its morning again over Holt Silverwater. And now its Aiks turn to be lost from camp! It was about an hour before dawn, and he got up, because he has an idea that he wants to try out, before she woke up. He left a warming scone, a yellow flower, and a note that reads, 'Hiya, be back soon. Or look to the water'. Also, he left his pants and sword by the fire. They are damp from the lake.
Fira is a little easily to leave asleep. The dawn chorus has as per usual failed to have any effect and she's slept nice and soundly through the night. Eventually she just wakes up on her own to see...a scone? She sleepily looks at it for a moment before with a strange squeaky yawn she sits up aaaaand no Aik. Hm. Must have gone wandering. She looks back to the scone and sure enough there's a note. From the note she then spots the pants and sword and after snatching up the scone to eat she heads over to the side of the lake.
Aikuen saw Fira wake from a distance, after he perfected his idea. Which it worked, after many many tries. Good thing she didn't see it. Or that would ruin the fun. He starts after her from the middle of the lake. The otter looks like one of those salmon trying to go up a waterfall. He just breaches the water. Slams back in, only to breach it again and again. Aik reaches the side of the lake near Fira and he walks out. He is only wearing his necklace and the bandage on his leg. He grins, and licks his lips as he starts to run at her, going to try and pounce on his wife.
Fira sees movement on the lake and at first she assumes big weird fish but the note makes her think better and before long she can see him too. Her brow raises, slight smirk there. Well she got big and weird right. She laughs when he finally appears out of the water but she doesn't have the time to play about and try to run away this time.
Aikuen manages to pounce on her, in a mighty hug. And he swings her around quickly to prevent her from slamming to the ground first. As he is afraid that he might hurt her, as his pounces are kinda like tackles. Well, he gets slammed into the ground on his back, with Fira on top of him. But that wont stay for long, as he rolls over quickly to pin her to the ground. He takes both her paws and hold it above her head as he starts to kiss her roughly. Then there is a quick lick of the nose, and then a weird, out of the blue, question, "Do you trust me?" as he starts to nuzzle her.
Fira eeks! And down she goes. Thankfully he keeps her from hitting the ground but all the same she's on it a moment later and somewhere along the way her half a scone has gone missing. The kiss distracts though and then so does the question "...With my life, now what are you up to?" she does look a little suspicious.
Aikuen gives a wink before he gets off, and helps her up, "Oh... Just wondering..." he hides an evil grin, "Hey! I want to show you something... Here!" he kneels down and shows his back to her. Then over his shoulder he says, "Climb on, I want to show you! I've practiced... And i want to show you! Its going to be fun!" he laughs. Oh yes, he has a plan.
Fira lets him pull her back up again. Up down up down. There's another raised brow at the offer of a piggy back but she obliges, clumsily getting to the point where she can hold on "Alright..." she knows he has some sort of plan she just has no clue what.
Aikuen places a paw on her shoulder lovingly and rubs it, "Alright, all settled? AH! too late! as here he go!" And he is off! He jumps up from his kneeled position, and runs off around the lake, to get to a tree. He keeps both of his paws on the underside if her legs so she doesn't accidentally fall off behind him. Which would not be a good thing. He gets to the tree with the rope on it in no time flat. There is something different about the rope, he has a knot in it about 1/4 of the way up. The otter looks up and then looks back to her, "Heel me in the side if you get scared, or want to stop... as we are going to climb this sucker! Hang on tight!" And without a chance for her to say anything, up he goes to climb the tree. With her on his back.
Fira squeaks oddly at the sudden movement and they're off "Where are we going?" she half yells near his ear. She soon sees the tree though "Oh" and there's a knot in the rope. She tilts her head at his explanation but as soon he moves again she quickly loops her arms round his neck as tight as possibly. It's a lot less terrifying when she's climbing and she knows what's happening.
Aikuen laughs as he can feel her arms tightening, almost like a vice, around his neck. But she didn't say stop, so up he goes. He finally gets to the top, where the rope is tied, and there is another rope coiled, and also tied right next to the other one. He laughs, and looks back to her "I used to do this on ships, and i finally got it too work, just needed another rope! Now i recommend burring your face in my back before we hit the water, other then that, all should be fine. This is where trusting me really helps. This will be fun! Just hang on and lock your footpaws around me." He grins and uncoils the rope letting it fall to the ground, then he takes the other rope in his other paw.
Fira is already firmly locked on. There's no getting her off without a crowbar. Her chuckles slightly nervous "Couldn't just settle for the rope alone then? That practice had better have helped!" she's not saying stop though. Sure she's nervous but that's the part that tells her not to jump from the tree in the first place and she doesn't listen to it then.
Aikuen plants a small awkwardly placed kiss on her, and says "I love yah Fi! Hang on!" before he is off and running on the branch. In the opposite direction of the lake. He uses the end of the branch like a spring board, and getting as momentum as he possibly can, he jumps and they start to free fall toward the ground. He yells "YEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!!" as he has yet to grip either ropes. Then about the time it looks like they are going to hit the ground, he grabs the second rope, and it causes him to swing back toward their camp. An then his paw hits the knot in the other rope and with the pendulum effect, it slings them both toward the lake. They are now flying through the air, and Aik yells, "YAHOO!" as he prepares to make contact with the water. He places a paw on the back of her head, pushing it toward his back fur, before diving hard into the water.
Fira digs her claws in. Falling is bad. She's sure they're going to hit the ground and Aik's going to get hurt again so it's a bit of a surprise when suddenly she's jerks back up again and then out over the lake. There's a rather constant squeeeeeeeeeeeeeak all the way through and then she can't see past his back. The force of hitting the water makes her claws slip a bit and she does lose her grip but she's fine, swimming back towards the surface again a second later.
Aikuen was pretty much at the bottom of the lake because of the speed at which he hit the water. He felt her let go, and became alarmed, so the otter looks back up, and sees Fira swimming to the surface. He holds his laughter of the swing until much later, until after he find out how she is. He goes to help her to the surface, not knowing in what condition she would be in after the dive. They both breach the surface and he goes to hold her looking her body over, "Are you alright? Not hurt are you?"
Fira splashes water at him as soon as they both surface "Crazy otter!" there's a grin and a small laugh to her voice though just sort of makes the words sound odd with her "I'm fine!" she leans forwards to give him a kiss "You've landed on your head too much"
Aikuen spits at the water from the splash, after a very surprised, "What the?" But all is forgiven at the kiss. He smiles at her and places his forehead on hers so he can look into her eyes, "I'm not crazy, i'm..." he shrugs, "Okay im crazy, but it was fun wasn't it! And since your fine i wont have to be playing healer today!" he grins and brings her closer to him, at that last comment, "What? So i'm mentally damaged... That's cold Fira... Ice cold..." he laughs, gives her another hardy kiss, all before he dunks her into the lake.
Fira has the adrenaline pumping so when she's pushed under she goes with it, carrying on down only to make a grab for his tail, pull him under too. She is having fun already.
Aikuen was laughing aloud after he dunked her, but that is short lived as he is pulled under. Totally caught off guard, he looks around in the water to try and find her. He licks his lips and makes biting motions toward her before going to try in chase her in the water. He always has fun when she is around.
Fira is quick off the mark again though this time she sticks close to the surface, speeding about only to turn, slow and nearly let him get her before she moves to clear jump over him out of the water, dive back down and give his tail another tug.
Aikuen grunts to himself as she is doing that thing again. Always just out of his reach, when poof, she is off in another direction. But as long as she doesn't go to the weeds, he actually has a chance. Except this time when he was about to grab her, she is actually gone. He blinks, and then Ows, and turns around quickly to see her tugging his tail. He frowns at her, before laughing and chasing after her again. He is beginning to see a pattern in her swimming so he makes a course change before she even does, and he swims to in front of where she would swim. He has a silly grin on his face, and has paws on his hips.
Fira is showing her age for once, not sticking to one level, going in and out of the water. She grew up with her own lake, she has some skill with water. As he moves in front of her she makes a quick snap change in direction, going to swim two speedy circles round him before she pounces him for once. One paw going to his cheek to bring his face round for a long kiss.
Aikuen was about the block her, and then whoh, another course change. she swims around him quickly. Then there is a pounce that catches him by surprise, then ahh, the locking of lips. He places one paw on the back of her head, while the other on her lower back, pressing them together. He enjoys this.
Fira likes to be surprising sometimes! Plus she rather enjoys a bit of fun and kisses too. She just relaxing again, kissing him and moving her arms to rest around his waist. Good to be married.
Aikuen keeps the long kiss going for a long time, almost time for them to get more air, that's how long. He pulls away and licks her nose before mouthing, "I love you Fira..." He grins and nuzzles her in the water. Its is good to be married, and not have a care in the world, besides the one you love in your arms.
Fira would normally quickly catch her breath again now but she has to stop that reaction quickly. She smirks back at him and nudges his head upwards with her nose, going to swim back to the surface with him.
Aikuen smiles and nods with a quick kiss, before going up with her to the surface. They breach and he breathes heavily to try and catch up. He grins at her before he twirls on the surface. But he keeps a tight hold on her, and mumbles hungrily, "Fira..."
Fira recatches her breath soon as she's back in the air again, keeps her arms around him too. She finally leans over to give him another little kiss "Love you too"
Aikuen smiles and mmms, and kisses her in between words "Best... three... words... from the best... otter... in the whole... world..." he chuckles and places his head on her, kissing her right back. He dips both of them down just under the surface so they can twirl and kiss, all the while swimming off to the side of the lake near the tent.
Fira can barely catch the words but the sentiment is there and she laughs quietly between the kisses, letting him push her about, making the odd minimal movement to help him out.
Aikuen and Fira get to the side, and before he lets her go, so they can walk out. But Aik gets the feeling that her footpaws need not to touch the ground, ever. And he is more than happy to do so. He picks her up to hold her horizontal in his arms. He chuckles and kisses her on the stomach, "My lady, Fira." and he carries her off to the cloth, and places her down gently, and runs a paw across her cheek.
Fira blinks as she's suddenly off the ground just as she can walk again, her arms go to loop round his neck again, give her something to hold onto. She gives him a little smirk "Your lady can still walk. Or would this be another plan?" not that she's complaining or anything.
Aikuen smirks at her, "This is not another plan. At least, not really!" he winks, "I just didn't feel like your wonderful, beautiful paws shouldn't ever touch the ground. If it was up to me, you would never use your paws again." He goes to pin her to the ground again, and he licks her stomach before going back to looking at her, and nuzzles her, "Not much of a plan anyway..."
Fira laughs quietly at him again "I think I'd soon start to miss using them...Come here" and she stretches a paw down to pull him back up again for another long kiss as she just relaxes again, stretched out on the cloth, nice and comfy.
Aikuen kisses her back, and nuzzles her cheek lovingly, "You don't have to tell me twice!" he grins and leans his body into her for the kiss, also going to rub her side with his paw. he groans happily, "I love you Fi... And i do enjoy our alone time..." dreading the fact they have to go back to Moledeep soon. Which is all fine and good, but he wont be able to be as 'free' as he is now. He licks her cheek before going back. Yep, nice and comfy.
