Stress!

Ones in Log: Zork-badger, Oz-Badger, Leon-Mouse, Lorimis-mouse, a spoofed novice and a guard.

RW Abbey: Infirmary

Several beds are lined against the red sandstone walls of the Abbey's Infirmary. An examination table, separated from the rest of the room by hanging blankets, rests against the far wall. Tucked into a small alcove is a sizeable workbench with various containers for mixing and preparing medicinal compounds. Against another wall is a desk for use by the Infirmary Keeper. A curtained off alcove behind the desk hides a locked door to the Infirmary's supplies and linens.

Zork walks into the infirm and calls out. "Ello,..ya here healer?"

Leon looks over and speaks, "Its Leon, I have a name, now please be quiet and tell me what you want?"

Zork sighs, and rubs his neck some before answering, " How is Ozzy?" He has concern in his voice.

Leon says, "He is fine, gave him something to help him breath better and sleep, he woke up guess during the night and left the infirm, but I believe he is still in the abbey."

Zork frowns. "Ya let him walk out of de infirm, Ya nuts!"

Leon narrows his eyes at the badger, "I told you to be quiet in my Infirm and I mean it, I cannot watch beast 24/7 and I have other matters to tend to, my mate just gave birth to twins 2 days ago and I have been making sure she and them are ok, she is resting at my cottage which is probably best, more quiet and less...loud"

Zork backs up just a small bit, "I..sorry lad just, and congrats I guess."

RW Abbey: Graveyard

This is a small natural clearing in the forest growth. Ancient trees tower over the area, arching over to make an interlaced roof on the clearing, keeping the area dark and shaded through the day and night. The floor is bare except for some small plants and forest mulch. As an entrance to this place, there are two large oaks that have branches that grew together to form a natural arch. At the foot of the largest one, between the roots, a fresh mound has been dug. In the clearing there are small patches of freshly turned earth, and rocks lining a few of them. A burial ground. In the shadows of this place, there is silence for the dead.

A couple hours after being in the infirm and the badger and mouse searching the abbey Zork starts to feel the urge to look outside when he thinks he sees something and walks forwards.

Oz is sitting by a freshly made grave with a tombstone, on it is the name Maxtor. Tears go down his face and its clear tears flowed earlier too, he has a flask with him full of some sort of strong ale and he is..drinking it?!

Leon walks over carefully and lays a paw on Oz's shoulder, he blinks at the ale and goes to take it from the badger.

Oz growls low and pulls away from Leon, the flask has a sip taken from it as he sniffs, "Maxtor murdered..How and the one, one who managed it nee---ds pay" He coughs roughly.

Zork could care less and goes to pry the flask out of Oz's paw, he is stronger than he is and he knows it, "Give me this, Ya don't drink ya never did in ya whole life!"

Leon backs up and folds his arms over his chest, he lets Zork handle Oz as he rather not get to close right now.

Oz tries to hold the flask and makes a fist to punch Zork, the flask is dropped and whatever is left is spilled, about 1/3 was drank.

Zork feels the punch as it connects, luckily he moves back a little or it may of hurt worse, he frowns at the taste of blood and spits off to the side as his jaw swells a little and a little blood shows on his lips, he picks up the flask and frowns, "Ya..punch me.." He sounds shocked. "Ya..PUNCHED ME!"

Leon frowns "Ok do not yell or start a fight or anything!" Ok he is not usually too in charge but he is right now.

Oz glares "Yeah..SO!" He yells as tears flow, "You were supposed to protect my son!...What is wrong with you,..why you le..le..let him die" He drops to his knees and sobs loudly.

Zork yells back “I didn’t Let him die, he was already dead didn’t even know he was in Mossflower! He was dead when me and Mallory found him!”

Footpaws are heard walking up to the graveyard and a soft voice is heard "What is going on, why the anger and yelling this early in the day , and yes I was told of Maxtor's death"

Zork blinks and sees Lorimis and bows "Father Lorimis,...Maxtor was murdered by a cross bolt one with barbed tied to it tightly and whoever is still out there." He wipes a little blood from his muzzle and frowns.

Leon nods to Lorimis as he enters, "Hello Abbot"

Oz looks at Lorimis as he shakes his head, he glares a little at the other two beasts and unballs a fist he has, tears flow down his face and yeah...here's a first Oz is a little drunk.

Lorimis shakes his head. "Oz..child, you look so lost," He looks at Zork "Zork do take the flask away and Leon give Zork something for that swollen jaw.." He looks at Oz and frowns "I feel its best your off dibbun or any other duties till I feel you’re in your right state of mind and clearly that’s not right now"

Zork frowns as he listens, he already has the flask and places it in his pocket and rubs his jaw.

Leon checks Zork's jaw “Well not broken, will for sure be sore for a couple days, not much can do for it really, well maybe some Arnica, be used on bruising and swelling due to it, there is some in the infirm” He will then walks towards Oz.

Oz blinks and shakes his head “I am..” He holds a paw to his forehead, yeah he has a headache too now, he glares at Zork and Leon some as the mouse nears him.

Lorimis frowns, “Oz..you –will- let them help you and you are to stay in your room and I or Benar will talk with soon.” He calls over a nearby novice, “ Let Elder Benar know what has happen of this decision, Oz is off all duties till I or Benar deem him fit to take them back up again,” The novice nods and heads off as the abbot frowns as he looks to Oz, he then looks at Zork and Leon, “Do make sure you keep an eye on him, I do not wish other bad news.”

Zork nods, “Yes sir”

Leon nods “Of course Father Abbot”

Oz blinks as he looks between them all, he looks down and then just sobs, he starts to get up and holds his head and with a groan passes out.

Zork eyes go wide “Ozzy!” He rushes over quickly.

Leon also quickly moves over to check on Oz, he feels a pulse and is relieved and checks over him for anything else, “Stress…and the fact probably part way the strong ale and not use to drinking, he should be fine after some rest.”

Zork goes to pick up Oz, the only one who could with very little problem, “I will take him to his room, need me I will be watching him for a while and tell Benar I want to speak to him.”

Lorimis frowns “Oh dear..” He nods to Zork “Of course Zork, you can watch over him and I can let Benar know” He glances at Leon, “I am unsure what to do, I suppose a couple sisters can help with the dibbuns for now, least this morning I will know more at lunch.”

Leon nods, “Alright.”

RW Abbey: Badger Mother's Room

The room you enter is rather neat and almost spartanly furnished, quite a visual contrast if you entered from the cluttered Dibbun's room adjacent. The warm red of the sandstone walls is the primary motif, broken in only a few places. There's a small leaded glass window for light, a bed (rather massive, which might give one a hint at it's occupant) with a coverlet of brightly dyed and woven cloth and a small table with a chair; this is holding a small pile of books and papers, a candle in it's holder and a couple odd Dibbun toys that ended up there somehow. The only real ornament in the room is a middle sized, carefully framed parchment: a charcoal and ink drawing of some group or family of badgers.

Zork heads to the dorm hall caring Oz in his arms, he gets to Oz room and lays Oz down on the bed and sighs as he makes sure he is cozy and sits in a chair beside his bed taking his paw in his, “Do not worry little bro, things will be ok…I will make sure they are, I promise”
