Redwall Abbey Spring Feast and Flicktail & Rayen's Wedding, Part 1 (Friday, April 10, 2015; Lorimis Log; rather long)
RW Abbey: Great Hall
The Great Hall of Redwall Abbey. Countless paw falls have echoed from these stones, and untold numbers of feasts and merry gatherings have been held here. A table, not nearly so grand or large as its predecessors, but quite functional for mealtimes, rests near the center of the hall. Chairs exist here aplenty, and they are all of a matching set. High above, the stain glass windows give the Great Hall a beautiful appearance. The glasswork is exceptionally done, crafted by a skilled artist. The floor is clean and swept. A fire is kept burning in the fireplace at almost all times of the day and night, and there are several more comfortable chairs and cushions set up here, of varying sizes. One looks large enough to easily accommodate a badger.
The Tapestry hangs proud and tall, and while the rest of Redwall may still bear the scars of natural disaster, this most famous of Redwall's relics remains unharmed by beast, time, or the elements. The figure of Martin the Warrior seems to be watching over his own with an unchanging, kindly gaze.
Soft light is slowly beginning to filter in through the stained glass windows high above your head.

Caleb walks in from the kitchens where he has been helping and even made something himself. He sits down in a chair by the wall to take a break from the kitchens.
The Great Hall is as always a hive of activity this close to the start of a feast. Tables are being laden with food and drink being brought up from the kitchens. Abbey beasts and guests are taking their places on the long trestle tables. The head table under the tapestry is still empty, there is no sign of the Abbot, Elder Benar or any of the council yet.
Chud is chilling over in a corner, his eyes half-closed, humming to himself. The crowd in here is starting to bug him but he's dealing with it. He hums an odd tune.
Zork makes his way into the great hall and glances around as he tries to smooth out his headfur but gives up after a while and shrugs. He checks his robe pocket for something, finding it he Grins and goes to find a place he can stay out of the way for now.
DoraRose enters through the front doors, LilyMoore in tow. The warrior is wearing a deep orange dress with red and yellow embroidery on the bodice. It goes very nicely with her brown fur. Lily is wearing her unbleached muslin dress, with green vines and multicoloured flowers embroidered around the neck and hems. Upon seeing her brother, she jogs across Great Hall, ignoring everyone else for the moment. Coming up to him, she shuffles a little and says quietly, "Can I talk to you?" Angela comes down the stairwell, wearing a simple brown dress with no embroidery. She has tied some spring flowers to the top of her staff. She walks over to Dora, and they quietly talk for a few minutes.
A few moments after Angela leaves the stairs, a petite white cat comes down them. It's Blisa Wyrmtamer, wearing a regal navy blue dress with black and silver embroidery around the neckline and hems. She is closely followed by Ferdinand the ferret, wearing his dress uniform with the addition of his regal purple cloak with it exquisite embroidery. Clarissa the rat, Valerie the vixen, Waldo the weasel, Hank the fox and Statler the stoat bodyguards are also wearing their dress uniforms. They did bring their weapons, but they are obeying the rules and keeping them in the training yard. As the bodyguards disperse and mingle, Blisa stands in the middle of the room and looks around happily.
Caleb looks up as he sees Lilymoore and nods "I...guess so, what about?"
Leon is seen checking a supply list and even double checks it as he walks around a couple beasts and leans on the wall, he check marks a couple things and folds the paper and places it in his pocket before glancing around the room.
Lorimis walks down the stairs slowly and tottering, holding onto Benar's arm, he stops near the bottom and starts to hack and splutter, his chest heaving as he coughs. Benar looks down at him worriedly and whispers in his ears but Lorimis pushes the squirrel back and carries on. Straightening up as he reaches the bottom and smiling at everyone.
Soon the sounds of giggling dibbuns is heard and a polite "Quite down" As they enter from the entry after getting some play time in. Following the dibbuns is Papa Oz and a sister of the order, a vole named Misty, whom is helping keep the dibbuns out of trouble and helps them sit at the dibbuns table.
Chud opens his eyes and sits up. He offers a quick wave to Lorimis and blinks a few times, adjusting to the light. Amongst the dibbuns is the mouse lad Tiberius, who's feeling frisky still and hoping for something funny to happen. Meanwhile, Emyuil enters the Great Hall.
LilyMoore gulps and looks at the floor. "I...I'm really sorry...about messing up the kitchens. I didn't think. I'm sorry." DoraRose and Angela have finished their conversation and now go over to the Master Healer. Blisa turns at the coughing sound and sees the Abbot. Frowning, she hurries over, Ferdinand keeping right beside her. "Hi! Are you alright? You don't sound too good." She has grown wince the last time the Abbot saw her, but she is still shorter than most beasts her age. She will always be a petite little person.
Caleb smiles at his sister, "Your forgiven Lillymoore." He even gives his sister a hug.
Flicktail Appears at the entrance looking nervous. He wears a brand new green tunic with silver acorn buttons down the front. It is a high "mandarin" collar. At his side he has Martin's blade, which he intends to surrender to Father Lorimis both for the Wedding and for the Feast, it was a tradition he learned to read in a book. His fur is immaculate white and he smooths his cheeks ruffs, asking the first brother he sees "Do I look ok?
Leon is a bit in his own thoughts as he mutters "Hmmm, maybe I miscounted how much of those couple herbs there was. Well its fine now and still good on supplies." A brother in the order blinks at him and Leon smiles "Nothing.." He didn't catch the abbot entering till now when he looks that direction.
Chud heads over to the table and sits down, Emyuil moving over to DoraRose. Meanwhile Tiberius looks around. Hmph. Everything's so dull right now, to him. Back to Chud. The otter pulls out a journal and starts writing.
Zork waves to Flicktail "Hey ya Flicky!"
Oz makes sure all the dibbuns are sat down and behaving, which today they are so far being very well behaved, and then he sits down with Sister Misty.
Lorimis looks at Blisa and smiles, "My you got big my dear," he pats her arm, "Be welcome to Redwall this day, you and all our friends from Ferravale," he smiles and makes his way to the table. He stops to cough again half way there and Benar frowns and moves after him. Once the Abbot is seated he looks around and nods and Benar raises his voice, "Seats everyone, the Abbot wants to speak soon."
LilyMoore smiles happily and hugs her brother back, as tight as she can. Gasping, she whispers, "Oh! The Abbot says that I have to learn how to ring the bells!" She hasn't noticed the Abbey Champion just yet. DoraRose goes to lay a paw on her husband's arm. "Love, you work too hard. Relax, and have fun." She smiles, but Angela is frowning as she watches the Abbot. "'E should be restin', not pushin' 'imself like this. What do ye think, son?" She turns to her grandson-in-law. Blisa smiles, pleased. "Thank you. I didn't bring Basil today. I thought it would be better for him to stay home." She goes to give him a quick hug, then she and her bodyguards find a row of seats all together and sit
Thorn enters a little late and goes to find a place to sit down.
Chud keeps writing quietly, but then after a moment sets his notebook down out of respect for the Abbot, and tucks it away in his pouch. Emyuil nods at what Angela says, saying quietly, "Aye, true. Hopefully nothing'll go wrong..." Meanwhile, Tiberius is contemplating running under the table.
Leon does catch that cough and frowns as it seems he missed a couple things while he was in Ferravale, he glances at the list he has again and hmms and then puts the paper away again as he nods to Dorarose and her grandma, "May have to check on him after the feast, sit close to him maybe"
Caleb stays standing for now but will soon find a place to sit down.
Lee enters with his wife and son and takes a seat.
Zork goes to sit where he usually sits.
Flicktail look over to Zork "Zork...have...have you the Rings? LEE! Ello Son" he beams proudly to his son "Am...am I k? Did I get me fangs clean?"
Zork slips out the rings and shows them to Flicktail "Course, calm down Flicky I wouldn't forgets something that important ya know silly fox"
Standing up slowly Lorimis smiles quietly and waits as the hall falls quiet, the general hub-bub of people talking fading away as he waits. Smiling warming at everyone he motions at Benar and the squirrel stands and walks away from his table and goes to stand in front of the tapestry, "My friends, thank you all for coming and joining us, today is the annual Redwall Summer Feast but before the abbot can declare this feast open to all there is a task I need to perform." Grinning the grey squirrel motions to Flicktail to come forward, "Today you are all to be witness to the wedding of our Abbey Champion and his bride Rayen. Here today before all of you their paws will join together as husband and wife."
Lee nods, smiling. "Ye look fine. This'll be a lovely weddin'." He then falls quiet
a Novice comes up to hand Lillymoore a basket of Flowers that Flicky himself picked for Lillymore to be flower girl
Chud smiles softly and watches the proceedings at the front of the Hall. Emyuil casts an eye over that way as well, while Tiberius is getting quite fidgety, although he hasn't said anything yet.
Rayen has waited till she was supposed to come into the Greeat hall. Peaking in she looks at all the gathered beasts and gets a little nervous but she gets over it as she comes in slowly. Its a simple wedding dress and has a little ruffle on the ends and some flower designs on the skirt part. Her veil has roses with some blue centers added as she smiles and enters the Great Hall.
DoraRose nods and goes to lead her husband, brother and grandmother over to the table closest to the head table. She and Angela sit. LilyMoore smiles happily, then goes over to join the group. She's not really sure how to be a flowergirl, so she's now awaiting instructions. Blisa and her bodyguards are all quiet and respectful, waiting and listening. They are all now watching Rayen, quiet as possible.
Caleb sits down , along with Leon, by Dorarose.
Lacota is directing two novices who are a carrying in a very large cake with figures of Rayen and Flicktail on top.
Thorn looks over and smiles, she stays quiet as its polite to do so.
Flicktail smiles to lee and his Son, and to Zork...he is Nervous "oh I can't wait to see th...oh Wait that's ME!" he hurries up toward Benar, and catches sight of Rayen. The Fox's eyes widen and he stands staring at the beautiful vixen with his muzzle hanging open "ohhhh WOW.... "
Benar says, "Your place Flicktail please," then leans down to murmur, "Lily when I announce that Flicktail may kiss the bride you have to start throwing the flower petals into the air around them." he then straightens, smiles at Rayen and signals the musicians. A beautiful cascading tube of horns and harps fills the air, a stately march welcoming the Bride to join Benar and the others before the tapestry of Martin the Warrior.
Zork still has the rings for Rayen and Flicktail, he goes quietly off sort of to the side, but out of the way of course till they need the rings and then some beast can come and get them from him.
Rayen smiles as she walks the rest of the way over to Flicktail and smiles and nods to Benar.
LilyMoore nods silently and quietly stands to one side, waiting for her cue. DoraRose goes to squeeze her husband's paw, remembering their own wedding day.
Oz keeps the dibbuns quiet as the wedding starts, and they do keep quiet as this is very interesting to watch.
Flicktail Keeps staring, as one of the novices takes Flicky by the arm and leads him up to Stand in his spot next to Benar, the Whole time Flicky looking into Rayen's eyes "Sure is...pretty"
Lacota gets the cake to a table.
Tiberius shifts uncomfortably on his haunches, his tail bunched up beneath him. Chud and Emyuil stay silent.
Benar smiles at the crowd, "It is a true joy to be here with Flicktail and Rayen ...... to be a part of this glorious day. To be surrounded by family and friends ....... those who care deeply for both of you. I considered it a true privilege when you asked me if I would officiate at your wedding ceremony. You truly honored me and I will never forget this day. Now I could say many other things, many words and prayers and wandering phrases but truly there are only two questions that matter this day. So Rayen I ask you first, do you with all your heart, here before these witnesses and the Spirit of Redwall Abbey consent to take Flicktail as your mate, to cherish and hold, to have and to be together through all that life and nature may bring to you?"
Rayen smiles as she hears the question, "Of course I do."
Benar turns to flicktail and smiles "Do you Flicktail with all your heart, here before these witnesses and the Spirit of Redwall Abbey consent to take Rayen as your mate, to cherish and hold, to have and to be together through all that life and nature may bring to you?"
Flicktail places his paw on the pommel of the sword and goes to one knee...then taking Rayen's paw her rubs his cheek ruff against it as he says "I do....wi all me eart"
Thorn smiles as she watches the wedding take place.
Lacota smiles as well, a rare sight from the crotchety squirrel.
DoraRose is smiling, happy for the foxes. Angela wipes a tear from her cheeks (yeah, she's one of THOSE people). LilyMoore Raises her basket, preparing herself to throw the petals.
Benar smiles at Flicktail and Rayen, "Please exchange rings and speak those vows which are yours to share."
Zork gets a little closer to Flicktail and Rayen giving them each the rings they need for the wedding. He then backs off again after they get the rings.
Rayen gets her ring to Flicktail and smiles as she says a soft thank you, she smiles at Flicktail as she goes to slip the ring on his finger, "With this ring I thee wed. I...haven't really thought of any good vows to say as words are sometimes hard to find to express something. But I love you and always will love you all of my days. And I am glad you came into my life Flicktail"
Flicktail takes the ring and as he slips it on Rayen's finger says "I Treat you with respect always, and remind us often of what brought us together. I will Give you the highest priority to tenderness, gentleness and kindness that our connection deserves. When frustration, difficulties and fear assail us, as they threaten all relationships at one time or another, I will remember to focus on what is right between us, not only the part which seems wrong. In this way, we can ride out the storms when clouds hide the face of the sun in our lives -- remembering that even if we lose sight of it for a moment, the sun is still there. And if we take responsibility for the quality of our life together, it will be marked by abundance and delight."
Lee wipes a lone tear.
Chud bows his head. Tiberius has discovered something...his back itches in the one spot he can't quite reach to scratch! He wriggles, trying to reach it.
Benar smiles as they exchange the rings and speak and the Elder reaches out to place a paw on both of their shoulders and turns them to face the crowd, "It is my pleasure as an Elder of Redwall Abbey, to name you Flicktail and Rayen as husband and wife.... Rayen, you may, should you so wish, kiss the groom."
Rayen chuckles, she is happy as she does indeed kiss Flicktail.
Zork grins as he leans back in his chair "Congrats you two"
LilyMoore smiles, digs a paw deep into her basket of flower petals, and tosses them high into the air. As she throws more, the flowers gracefully fall like snowflakes, covering the newlyweds.
Leon smiles as well and nods his congrats to the happy couple. Caleb stays quiet, but is happy for the two foxes.
Flicktail kisses Ryan and when done says to those assembled "Thank you Father, Benar and all for sharing this special day....Now we will feel no rain, for each of us will be shelter for the other. Now we will feel no cold, for each of us will be warmth to the other. Now there will be no loneliness, for we will be companion to each other. Now we are two beasts, but there is only one life before us. May beauty surround us both in the journey ahead and through all the years. May happiness be our companion and our days together be good and long upon the earth."
Thorn has been quiet, so this is a wedding...well its interesting as she folds her paws in her lap
Lorimis smiles and stands up clapping, "Congratulations..." he calls then coughs into a handkerchief before straightening, "Thank you Elder Benar for the lovely service now... I am going to waive my regular speech and just say... Rayen,... would you care to open the feast?"
Rayen blinks and smiles" I can, but doesnt the feast need a name?"
Lacota claps
Flicktail says, "Wot if we call it..Rayen!"
Lee applauds as well, though his heavily pregnant wife Streamheart doesn't look too well.
Chud applauds politely, as do Emyuil and Tiberius, although Tiberius sighs.
Rayen chuckles "No silly" She shakes her head and smiles "With Abbot Lorimis' permission what about...Spring of New Beginnings?"
LilyMoore has finished throwing all the flowers, and she is smiling happily, although she does have to cover her mouth with a paw to keep from laughing at Flicktail's declaration. Angela nods at Rayen's suggestion. Dorarose smiles. She likes it.
Leon smiles "Sounds like a good name, course...Abbot Lorimis most likely has final say so"
Lorimis says, "A fitting name my dear friend, so... eat and be merry!" he raises his paws and smiles, "This Wedding Breakfast is now open!"
Chud doesn't need to be told twice. He roves from platter to platter, taking a bit of everything, especially relishing fish. Tiberius squeaks and hurries over into the middle of things while Emyuil remains taciturn, waiting for others to start eating first.
Flicktail gives Lillymoore a hug "there is dancing after do I get a dance wi you?" then he spies Thorn "Thank you for coming Thorn, We are honored to have ya...can I have a dance wi you too?" Flicktail says, "Lacota that cake is...MAGNIFICENT I never seen anything like it...and...and is that ME on top?"
Lacota supervises the food tables. Lacota says, "Indeed it is, Flicktail."
Caleb smiles as he walks over to Lacota "Did my strawberry crepes turn out ok Lacota? I worked extra hard on them and still very much want to be a novice and learn to cook a lot more"
Flicktail says, "how did you mke..ME?" he says ammanzed and looks at Caleb "may I try a crepe?"
Lacota nods his head. "They are divine, Caleb. You'll be a fine chef in no time."
Lee starts loading up a plate for himself and Konrad, but his wife shakes her head.
Zork smiles as he goes to get himself some scones, salad and some soup. He will have cake later on as he goes to where he usually sits.
Lorimis helps himself to a large bowl of salad and settles down, smiling from his chair as he watches the Abbey beasts enjoying themselves
Thorn looks around at all the beasts, "Wow..a lot came today"
Flicktail is busy showing everyone the Ring Zork made him, Pointing to Zork and staying near Rayen. "Aye Thorn lots o good food
LilyMoore hugs the Champion back, blushing slightly. "If you're sure you want to..." She sees the Friar and gulps, then grabs her courage in both paws and walks over to him. "Um...Sir Lacota, sir? Can I talk to you...please?" She's still on orders from her Nana to not work in the kitchens because of her injured paw, but she spent all the time before the feast helping clean in other ways. DoraRose and Angela stand and go to get some food. Eyeing the crepes, the Warrior smiles at her son. "You made these? How delightful!" Blisa and her bodyguards get food, Statler and Waldo nearly crying with the joy of seeing so much food.
Oz helps the dibbuns get their food and then he gets some as well. Sister Misty also helps the dibbuns and gets some fish and bread and a cordial and sits down beside the dibbuns as well.
Flicktail says, "wait a min...did Blissa bring her snake?"
Caleb smiles, he is glad the beasts like the crepes. He then remembers to make sure the abbot gets one as well and goes to get one for Lorimis as he walks over to the abbot" Here Abbot Lorimis, I made these, they are strawberry crepes with extra cream on them."
Lorimis starts as Caleb comes up to him, he had been nodding off. He smiles at the young mouse and accepts the crepe, "Oh thank you... I am sure it will taste delicious." he digs in with gusto.
Rayen stays by Flicktail and smiles, she will get some food when he does.
Lacota looks down at LilyMoore. "Yes, young lady?"
Chud meanwhile is eating happily, rolling his eyes back in appreciation of the well-cooked fish. Tiberius sneaks under the table, accidentally trodding on a few beasts' paws, not that he weighs enough for it to be anything more than a minor annoyance. Emyuil follows his sister as if waking up from a quick nap.
Flicktail gets Rayen a plate of the most delicious food
Lily swallows hard, flushing with shame. "I...I'm sorry for ruining the kitchens. And the food. And for locking you in the cellar. And...everything. I'm really, really sorry." She looks down at the floor, fully expecting to get yelled at. DoraRose has tried a crepe, an dis now resisting the urge to take the rest of them and eat them all by herself. Angela laughs at something a Novice said to her. Blisa's bodyguards are enjoying themselves immensely (although Statler and Waldo have gotten into an argument with one of the kitchen helpers) as the cat walks up to the Champion and his new wife. "I made this for you." She hands them a wrapped gift.
Rayen smiles as she looks around at her friends, saying thank you to all the congrats she is getting
Thorn watches all the beasts and after eatting a little food she quietly slips off and goes upstairs quietly.
Lacota hmms. "Do you understand the severity of your actions?"
Flicktail is watching Lillymore from across the room Taking his Vixen for a dance on the main floor
Zork looks over at Lorimis and sips some October Ale, then gets to talking with one of the order brothers.
Rayen will dance after she has had some food, not before.
Benar murmurs something to Lorimis and he nods and smiles and embraces Caleb, "This is really nice, thank you." Benar stands up and walks over to Flicktail and Rayen and smiles, "Congratulations, to you both... I have arranged a wedding present for the pair of you.")
Flicktail's ears perk "A...a present Benar? We are honored
Caleb smiles, he hopes the abbot does like his food, he returns the hug to Benar and then he turns to the abbot again then asks "Ummm...sir Abbot do...do you think I could be a novice soon?"
LilyMoore nods miserably. "Yes, I do. I deprived the Abbey of a whole meal. I almost killed Thorn on accident. I injured an Order member. The Abbot said that my actions are unforgivable. I understand. And if I have to be scrubbing pots and floors and peeling potatoes the rest of my life, then so be it!" She says this in an almost defiant manner, although it's clear that's not her intent.
Oz has Sister Misty watch the dibbuns as he goes over to Flicktail, "Congrats on your wedding day Flicktail. I hope your seasons are full of joy"
Leon every so often looks over at Lorimis, he resits the urge to go over and speak with him during the feast.
Chud takes out his journal, writing between mouthfuls of food, and also watching the activity around him.
Lacota says, "Well, lass, I... *do* forgive you. Apology accepted."
Rayen smiles "Thanks for helping in the wedding Benar and for the congrats as well." She nods to Oz as well.
Flicktail says, "thank you Oz" he says giving the badger father an embrace as he watches to see what Benar has for him and Rayen
Angela is not holding back, however, and she now walks over to the Abbot and whispers, "Are ye sure ye shouldn't go rest now, sir?" she goes to absently stroke Caleb's head. LilyMoore freezes, then looks up at the Friar's face, disbelief etched on her face. "Wha?"
Benar grins at the happy couple "You are welcome, now when we have a moment come to the orchard and I will show you my present." he hugs Rayen, nods to Flicktail and heads back for more food! Meanwhile over at the head table Lorimis prods Angela with a spoon, "Not at all Angela, I have never left a feast early in all my life! I am not going anywhere until I have had enough to eat and maybe! MAYBE I will even dance with the bride! Just you try and stop me, Caleb distract her!" the threat of being made to go away certainly has perked him up and before Angela can respond he is out of his chair and toddling off, walking stick clicking as he moves toward Rayen and Flicktail.
Lacota nods his head. "Just don't do it ever again, alright?"
Chud chuckles at the sight of Lorimis heading off, but Emyuil looks concerned, and prepares to intervene if things go wrong. Tiberius charges around pell-mell now, trips, and falls.
Leon frowns as Lorimis gets up out of his seat and watches him walk off. He has a feeling he is feeling worse than he really is saying and a couple missing herbs may be proof, he knows the abbot knows some healing and he knows what the couple herbs he is guessing he didn't mis-count now are for
Flicktail asks, "the Orchard?" Flicktail smiles "ooo I LOVE surprises"
Rayen chuckles as she smiles at Flicktail.
Lee and his son continue eating, while Lee looks over at his wife with concern every so often.
Caleb watches the abbot curious, well his father is so why, " Why ya watching Lorimis dad?" Leon shakes his head "No reason son just.....eat some cake or something." Yeah Leon is a bit, no more than a bit concern but doesn't say it right now as he sips some cordial. Caleb frowns and shrugs as he gets up to get some cake, before its all gone
Angela makes a strangled-sounding noise as the Abbot wanders off. She's torn between being very angry with him and flabbergasted that he would have the gall to say such things to her. DoraRose has seen this whole thing, and is struggling to not start laughing out loud at the look on her grandmother's face. LilyMoore starts nodding vigorously. "Oh, never, ever, ever, I swear! I promise, I will never mess up you kitchens again." She refuses to ask about the chores she has to do. Blisa and Ferdinand are dancing together. The ferret is an incredibly skilled dancer. Valerie the vixen murmurs to the Master Healer, "The Abbot don't look too good..."
Lacota says, "As for your punishment... It will not be as severe as I initially planned. Dishwashing for a week or so seems reasonable to me."
Now that Lorimis has made his epic escape from Angela he stops to lean on Flicktail, wheezing a bit then straightens up, "I want to give you both my congratulations to you both. I have seen what Benar has done and it is quite nice. Now then Benar didn't you have another announcement?" The squirrel puts down his tankard and gives Lorimis a long frown, he opens his mouth to say something but the elderly mouse shushes him, "I am fine, get on with it and stop fussing. You are worse than Oz," Benar sighs and then shakes his head and hops up onto a bench and claps his paws together juuuust as Caleb has filled his mouth with cake. "My friends! One last announcement if I can interrupt all of your celebrations for just a moment. I am afraid I must bring a point of Abbey protocol and rule breaking to light. Novice Caleb, you are not wearing the correct robes. Please retire to the Library and change at once. I shall over look this breach of etiquette because it is a Wedding feast."

Lacota smiles just a little, but otherwise remains reserved. "Indeed, Caleb, that's a major breach..."
Caleb blinks "Wrong?...." He shallows his cake and looks curious and then smiles, wait did he hear right" No..Novice!" He smiles and quickly goes to get his new robe, he is excited and soon returns in his new novice robe.
Flicktail looks to caleb "how are you Novice celeb?"
Lee claps softly.
Leon blinks and then smiles"Well a novice..this is good son")
Oz raises an eyebrow towards Lorimis but stays quiet, he will check on Lorimis after the feast.
Lorimis starts laughing and shakes his head, "Oh Benar that was mean, you're supposed to tell him he's a novice before calling him on the rules." The grey squirrel grins and plops down on the bench again, "Oooooh did I forget to tell him? Well I am sure it slipped my mind in all the excitement before the wedding." he raises his tankard to Caleb and Lee, "Congratulations Caleb welcome to the order of Redwall."
Caleb smiles "Thank you Abbot Lorims and Elder Benar"
Flicktail takes Lacoata's paw "Thank you for our Cake Friar..it is..magnificent
Chud keeps writing, finishing the page at last with, 'It's days like this that the fog hides the souls of mortals, and makes us feel alone. But not others, perhaps it's just me.' Emyuil meanwhile nods a congratulation to Caleb from across the hall.
Leon sighs, no he has not forgotten about Lorimis and still watches him from a distance, Oz won't have to check on him as the Master Healer will. He sips some more cordial and gets some cake.
LilyMoore gasps and stares at the Friar. "Wh..wh..what?!" She stutters a few minutes, then manages to say, "Th..thank you...um..." She is now staring up at the Champion, on the verge of crying. "Thank...you?" She looks to her twin. "Wait...what?" DoraRose does her embarrassing-Mommy thing and squeals with joy and pride. She goes to hug her son as hard as she can (which is quite hard, seeing as how she's strong enough to wield a huge battleaxe). Blisa and her bodyguards start clapping loudly, smiling. Angela goes to ruffle Caleb's ears. "Well done, my child." After all this excitement, the Ferravalians go back to feasting and dancing, will eventually wander off to bed. Lily, very emotionally exhausted, falls asleep by the fireplace, missing her dance with the Champion. Angela and Dora eventually take her to the gatehouse.
