Free From De Infirm! And in His Own Room

(Posted Log of Zork,whom a friend plays now I just posted the log for him..enjoy)

--This starts in the infirm and then goes to Zork’s Room, with Lorimis, Zork, couple NPCS and later Flicktail--

Zork frowns he can’t sing, he can’t get up out of the bed, he tried to drum his fingers on the cot and got grumbled out and he even tried to talk to a healer novice about whatever was on his mind, which was a lot from hey there is snow out there to did you know in the snowy northlands…he goes on and on and….you get the idea.

Lorimis walks in about this time and nods to those here, “And how is everyone?”

The novice on duty quickly goes to Lorimis, “Lorimis please..please I beg of you tell the badger to stop” Zork frowns “Stop wot, I was just getting t de part that..” The novice looks ready to scream as she looks at the abbot, “ Please…the song has 30 horrible verses and his stories are long..TOO LONG..and his I’m bored over and over again.”

Lorimis frowns at this and sighs as he excuses the novice and walks over to Zork, “What is wrong Zork?” He asks quietly.

Zork sighs and looks to the abbot, “ I can’t stands it in ere’, thar only so much ta do when your bed ridden and not allowed up. Also the bed is not cozy and the pillow gets unfluffy quickly. Can’t I just go ta me own room, please Lorimis..haf a heart.”

Lorimis listens to the badger as he stands there, he then turns and walks out the door without another word and disappears down the hall.

Zork frowns in defeat and closes his eyes and turns to face the wall, he may as well be in a prison the way he feels right now.

Soon the abbot returns and with him is two tall otter guards and a hare that had been visiting, just a normal hare from the woodlands, as he clears his throat” Well Brother Zork I though you wanted help to your own room, did you change your mind?”

Zork quickly looks and a large grin forms on his face as he sits up and nods “Yes , yes, oh thank ya Lorimis, ya very very much trust me.” He will allow any help to his room.

Lorimis smiles “Of course Brother Zork.” An otter goes on either side of the badger and the hare in the back as they help and led him to his own room. Taking the path to the open ground and then on to the dorms so they can avoid the stairs, they help the badger either to his chair or the bed, his choice.

Zork points to his wheelchair and sits down in it, it has soft cushions on it so it’s not hard as he leans back and smiles, “Thanks again Abbot Lorimis and not ta worry I will stay put in me room…err how long though I do wish ta, well finish something at me forge, then..then I promise ta leave it alone de rest of de winter. I will…Silverstorm can get Kadar ere’ I know she can and he can help her with lessons, I could even still give lessons as I don’t even haf ta even work de forge to direct a lesson.”

Lorimis holds up his paw to slow down and speaks, “And do what Zork?”

Zork answers, “Flicky and Rayen’s rings. I already haf de stuff needed melted down, and de casts ta make em’, yeah it will need ta be reheated and then de liquid placed in de casts, wait a day or two and they done..well maybe I add a design or words inta de ring then it’s done. I promised Flicky and Rayen I do it fer em’ and de wedding is in de spring unless they move it ta sooner.”

Lorimis listens closely and after a bit of thinking “Ok, this one thing you can do and only that, but you stay on bed rest for 3-4 more days before you do this and you will have Silverstorm, or if he is here by then Kadar beside you just in case.”

Zork nods and wheels over to Lorimis to hug him gently “Thank ya Lorimis.”

Lorimis nods “You are welcome Zork?”

Flicktail knocks on the door and waits to enter.

Zork starts to ask the abbot a question “Umm Lorimis….” He then blinks and looks over at the door "Umm..enter?"

Flicktail shuffles in looking around

Lorimis looks at the doorway and back to Zork as he smiles "Seems you have a visitor and I need to get going, just wanted to make sure you were settled alright"

Flicktail says, "Ello Zork, Ello Father Lorimis"

Zork nods "I am and it’s a lot more cozy here and much bigger bed, nothing against the infrm"

Lorimis chuckles and pats him on the arm, "I need to go" He excuses himself and slips out the door.

Zork looks at Flicktail as he is sitting in his chair still, "Hey Flicky...how are ya?"

Flicktail says, "I am well..and you?"

Zork smiles "Better now that I can be in me own room Flick, plus no one to complain if I sing, hee hee. Also bigger bed for when I go to sleep." He moves over to a shelf where he has a set up with a tea pot.

Flicktail says, " I just came to visit never been in your room before"

Zork nods as he makes himself some tea, just one cup and takes a couple sips after adding mint, he makes a different tea smelling of lemon and mint for Flicktail and hands it to him grinning, "Tea..tis ok"

Flicktail accepts it "Thank you Zork.. I just wanted to see wot is on your mind”

Zork shrugs as he leans back in the chair and finishes his own tea and sits down the mug, he glances at something off to the side and back to Flicktail, "Well..a lot I guess"

Flicktail says, "well I am here to listen if it helps"

Zork says, "Well, one thing worked out with Lorimis and I will be able ta finish something soon and I am glad cause were worried bout it"

Flicktail nods "I think that’s fair”

Zork chuckles a little "Ya don't even know wot it be"

Flicktail asks, "ya wanna tell me?"

Zork smiles" Remember ya asked me ta make de rings for ya and Rayen, and I will be able ta finish those, well with in a couple days once I get back to me forge in, oh..2-3 days, all have ta do is pure de stuff, will need remelted..inta de casts and wait and..done, I can even ad writing on de rings or a design too"

Flicktail smiles "Zork, do you know why I asked YOU to make our rings?”

Zork smiles "Cause I be de blacksmith? And tis ok I am still makin' em not ta worry Flicky just all dis other stuff happenin'..”

Flicktail says, "Well, being a Blacksmith helps Zork" He moves to sit next to his friend and places his paw on Zork's paw “I wanted something made by a friend, who when he makes it will pour is love into it, and the metal will be as strong as the Bond between me and Rayen. Your ring, is worth more to Rayen and Me then one made of pure gold and diamonds. Rayen and I will get many GIFTS. but when we wanted a Symbol of our love we came to you."

Zork smiles at this, "Thanks Flicky. I..never really been told anything made were, well special . I would just make things cause they were useful or needed....when I was forced ta make some things I didn’t enjoy it but that’s de past..left forgotten"

Flicktail says, "Zork, I just want you to know that your rings will be beautiful"

Zork smiles "I will..try to haf em be"

Flicktail says, "You need not try I KNOW how good you are at your craft"

Zork smiles and nods, he then frowns a little" Flicky..ya know I will not always be de blacksmith, then wot? Am I gonna just not be..needed?"

Flicktail says, "Zork, there be more to you then your craft" He taps the Badgers Chest "You have a heart....and yer friends need that much more then a chunk of metal. And the new smith needs your experience, to consult and to tell them how ta do things"

Zork sighs he fiddles with his chair making a lever move the seat up a little as he blinks and moves the paw "Sorry thar.." He listens to Flicktail’s words, “They do?"

Flicktail says, "Zork how many beast walk up and ask you how you are, and worry about you...do ya think that’s for wot ya make?"

Zork hmmms "Well Lorimis checked on me...me daughter and Silverstorm did also..and Lacota, yeah I got some lectures but guess deserved em'”

Flicktail asks, "So you have to ask how important you are ta us Zork?"

Zork asks, "Ya think I be..important ta ya all?"

Flicktail says, "I know your important to ME Zork, when you hurt, I hurt"

Zork looks like he is fighting back an urge to cry and he rarely shows emotion, "Tis....I.."

Flicktail pats his paw "your part of this Abbey....yer love is worth all the Gold in the world and more”

Zork holds back a sob, then just lets himself cry. Yeah he been holding in his feelings as he pushes a lever on the chair the seat goes up so he can better hug the fox...yeah something else he doesn’t always do, hug someone a lot and cry at the same time.

Flicktail smiles and takes the hug gently "You will always be needed Zork”

Zork sniffs and is that way for a good while and then leans back "Oh..sorry ya tunic be all..wet now" He wipes his nose and eyes but smiles a little" You’re a good friend Flicky and I be glad ya be me friend"

Flicktail says, "I will cherish this Tunic always"

Zork chuckles a little and grins, "Oh..ya wants ta see something." He moves the chair backwards and grins, he seems to be feeling better than he was.

Flicktail tilts his head ears perking

Zork smiles as he shows the lever on the chair and moves it...first the seat goes up and tilts forwards some and then it makes the seat go down again as he grins. "And dis" He points to a place in the wheelchair arm, "Holds me ale...hee and dis place in de back..me cane...ummm oh" He feels a couple more hooks "Like de forge hammer if be needed or just something else..say a bag or sumthing...neat huh" He folds his paws in his lap and chuckles.

Flicktail says, "You know how many beasts that could help Zork and YOU invented it"

Zork grins "How many?" He asks as he gets his cane and goes to stand, "Help me ta me bed? Still a little..weak with de footpaws"

Flicktail says, "Well lots" he holds out his arm"

Zork takes the arm and allows the help" Tis were gonna be a wheelchair fer someone else..they didn’t need it, nor want it so I..made it better ta suit me..and I will need ta use it..guess a lot or least good bit, see me legs hurt if I walk too fars or stand too long and that were before me...umm" He frowns not wanting to scare the fox.

Flicktail says, "well I am sure it will get better. But you know THATS what you could do now."

Zork gets to his bed "Do wot now? And..well I may get some betters but not all de way Flicky, not ta scare you but thar be reasons I can’t do a lot , You still CAN "

Flicktail says, "You can draw designs and make improvements, that be very valuable"

Zork smiles "I can make and read blueprints if that’s wot ya mean..wish could read badger scrip like me daughter, but..yeah I wrote badger scrip when remade de bells but oddy..don't remember a darn bit of it, like were in a trance maybe"

Flicktail says, "Aye that's wot I mean, and the stories I heard about badger Script all badgers say that"

Zork smiles "Zinnia can just look at it and read it, she told me she read some in Salamadastron and told me wot de bells said here, she be..very smart for her age"

Flicktail says, "I like her lots"

Zork nods, "She grew up and I be proud of her, I mean when she first came here she were...well lot different, wanted ta sleep outside and growled at anyone that came near her"

Flicktail says, "Aye that was here I remember...but the Abbey has a way of healing"

Zork says, "well she were afraid, she was a slave before and I am certain you were probably one she disliked..tis was me and Ozzy she talked to first, maybe cause we were badgers like her"

Flicktail says, "Well when I came I was afraid of ALL Badgers"

Zork say, "And , And wot got ya ta..not be afraid?"

Flicktail says, "Time....you...you became me first REAL friend"

Zork blinks "I did Wot bout Ozzy or..others here before I were?"

Flicktail says, "They tried but You were me first friend Zork"

Zork says, "wot ya mean..tried ta"

Flicktail says, "Well I was still feared them"

Zork says, "Oh..afraid of beasts here? Were ya afraid of me?"

Flicktail says, "Terrified"

Zork frowns, "Sorry Flicky.. I mean I can see where I be, more scary than Ozzy..I be taller and.." He fells his head fur and chuckles "Wild head fur all over de place and if ya were outside me large blade of de north winds be HUGH..ya couldn’t even lift it Flicky, when I collapse in de infirm during de summer, found out later took 6 strong otters ta even lift it and a couple stoat heled too"

Flicktail says, "Were not your fault and ya know it..it was me..from my Vermin days"

Zork grins and nods, "But ya don’t fear me now"

Flicktail says, "Your my best friend"

Zork smiles and gently reaches over to hug Flicktail, "And ya have helped me a lot, like tanight ya helped me"

Flicktail says, "Every beast needs friends"

Zork smiles "Yes, they do..ya cheered me up tanight, helped me know I do still belong and I am helpful and needed"

Flicktail says, "Well that were obvious Zork"

Zork smiles as he lays down and yawns big, he watches Flicktail, "Your probably glad I am out of the infirm huh?"

Flicktail says, "I am glad yer well...when you hurt I hurt"

Zork nods "You mentioned that"

Flicktail says, "It be true"

Zork manages a tried chuckle, "Try not ta worry, ya not gonna lose me any time soon. Gonna takes it easy from now on and..takes a lot ta take me out, trust me"

Flicktail says, "Lots of beasts to help you and be your hands at the forge"

Zork shakes his head, "No one allowed ta be by me forge..unless I or..Kadar be thar..if de old furbag shows up"

Flicktail says, "Aye that’s reasonable"

Zork smiles, “I need ta get ta sleep Flicky..ya can stay till I fall asleep if ya want ta..or even keep eye on me if ya want."

Flicktail says, "aye I will" he corks quietly sipping his tea"

Zork smiles as he closes his eyes to go to sleep, looks like Flicktail will be one to keep watch over Zork, least first part of the night
