Western Shore

A sea of sand surrounds the magnificent mountain now to your side. The golden sand is flat and hard, easy to walk on. You stand directly between the volcano and the sea. The refreshing sea spray tickles your face as a tropical wind from off the sea whisks it in your direction. The serene roar of the blue-green waves and perhaps the call of a distant gull are typically all that can be heard.

Exits: [W]estern [S]ide of the [M]ountain, [Sh]allows, [U]pshore, [D]ownshore

Hares: Flint, male.  Felicity, female.

Seals: Kenwei, female.

Flint is on a patrol as he is heading back along the shorelines. He has his saber with him as well as his longbow and arrows.

Kenwei is close to the shore and watches the hare. She had been away a while but now has returned.

Felicity is just out for a walk on her break.  With her sword at her side, sling around her waist, and small haversack with food on her back, she is ready for just about anything.  Trudging along, she spots her uncle, but for now just stays quiet.

Flint notices movement and is being careful as he walks closer to the seal, it's not like he spent too much time with it before.

Kenwei splashes and then sees it's one of those long patrol hares and slides closer "Greetings to you long patrol member, been long since seen the mountain I have"

Felicity also notices the seal and walks over to her.  "Oh!  'Ello, there!  I say, do I know you?  ...my name's Felicity."  She smiles in a friendly way.

Flint nods "Ummm...oh ya been here before right?" He smiles when he sees his niece and waves .

Kenwei nods "Yes yes when the Redwall beasts were here...they are not around now?" She still talks slowly but she has learned some better common from beasts in the nearby city.

Felicity shakes her head.  "No, they're not.  They went 'ome a few months ago, wot!"  After offering her uncle a hug, she sits down on the sand and plops her haversack beside her.  "'Ow /are/ you, love?"  she pats the sand beside her, inviting her uncle to sit there.

Flint smiles as he gives her a hug, "Yeah went home" He sits down" Not much else has happen, been rather quiet wot, but quiet is good"

Kenwei frowns but nods "I am...being ok. Never found tribe but is ok. I have explored and learned more of land beast studying the ones in the land village nearby here"

Felicity listens as she pulls out some oatcakes.  Offering some to the other 2 beasts here, she says quietly, "I'm sorry that you weren't able to find 'em.  I 'ope you can soon."  Taking a bite of scone, she eats it, then says a little more cheerily, "We would seem like an odd bunch to a seal, wouldn't we?"  Especially the hares with their craaaazy appetites.

Flint chuckles as he looks around. He is still very alert even if its a nice clear day.

Kenwei frowns "Maybe they long long gone, not knowing but you land beasts be interesting still. And sometimes you use odd things to float on the water."

Felicity nods.  "Aye, we do.  We're not as good at swimmin' as ya are, love.  ...I wish I was, though.  'Twould be grand fun to be able to swim like a seal..."

Flint smiles "some beasts  swim good, others bally well sink like rocks"

Kenwei nods, she then decides to head off when she sees a fishermen ship and it looks neat!

Felicity waves as the seal disappears, then turns to her uncle.  "It'd be nice to be able to swim like that, don't'cha think?"  She goes to rest her head on his shoulder.  He's the closest she has to a father figure now, and she's treating him as such.

Flint nods "Maybe. I can swim but not too bally well good. Seals must be able to blooming breath under water." He smiles "'Tis is a  good day lass, spring is here to enjoy"

Felicity giggles.  "Aye, it sure seems like it, wot!"  Looking up at the sky, she nods in contented agreement.  "I love the Springtime.  I /adore/ seein' all the pretty flowers, and 'ow warm it gets in the Summah...."

Flint smiles "Not too many flowers around here. Thar be lots in the woods I bet. But ya still have to stay alert lass as danger does not take time off."

Felicity waves a paw in the air nonchalantly.  "Oh, pish posh, Uncle Flinty.  I know to be careful, wot!  Y'don't 'ave to worry about me, love!"  She pats her sword hilt.  "'Sides, I can take care o' myself in a pinch.  YOU'RE the one who needs to be careful!"  She winks at him.

Flint chuckles "I am getting better with the saber again, not ta worry lass and I not be planning on getting captured again"
