Ever since he's set up his hammock on the Camp Willow grounds, Chud has been spending more time sleeping in it than in a bed.  He snores softly, sprawled out across the hammock.

Miremel shakes his shoulder. "Wake up silly. You're a river otter, not a sleeping otter."

Miremel gets up from leaning on a tree trunk. The ottermaid shakes Chud's shoulder. "Wake up, silly. You're a river otter, not a sleeping otter."

Courage is mixing some herbs behind a bush. Don't ask why he is doing it behind a bush, but he is. He looks up as he hears Miremels voice.

"Zzzz---!"  Chud is jolted awake by his sister's shaking.  As he stands up, trying to remain somewhat dignified, he brushes himself off, saying, "Wot was that for?"

Miremel shakes her head in mock disapproval. "You've been lying in that thing all day! It's time for you to move around, Chud Snorebattle." She covers her mouth with a paw and giggles.

Courage stays where he is. He hears the comment and can't help but laugh "now THATS a good one."

"Ar, c'mon, sis.  I needs all th'rest I kin get, cuz I'm headin' out into th' woods soon to look for..." Chud trails off.  He hears Courage and walks over to the bush, sticking his head over.  "Erm...lissen, I hates ter beat around th'bush, but...Wot're ye doin' back thar?"

Miremel looks interested. "What was that? Chud Streambattle, would you please stop sticking your nose into other beast's business!" She rolls her brown eyes. The young otter hurries towards her brother.

Courage grins up at Chud "I happen to be making herbs that might save your life one day." He packs his herbs up and than stands. He nods at Miremel "thank you. this Chud need to learn some manners." he is jokeing of course.

"WOT?!" Chud explodes.  "An' who, may I arsk, is th' one who carn't let a tired h'otter 'ave a proper rest widout shakin' 'im loike an earfquake?"

Miremel sighs, then laughs at the ridiculous Chud. "Quiet, you. And I woke you up because you've been snoring half this beautiful day away!" She raps Chud's paw with her rudder.

Courage grins than addresses Miremel "I do not think we have met. I am Courage." he offers a paw

Chud tries to sneak back to the hammock without his sister noticing; the Otterscout tip-paws towards the tree

Miremel nods at Courage. "You are right. I'm Miremel Streambattle." She takes Courage's paw and shakes it. "Nice to meet you."

Courage nods "And I you, miss Streambattle." He returns his paw to his side. He sees Chud but makes no move to stop him.

Stifling a "Haharr!" of victory, Chud flings himself into the hammock and dozes off...or maybe he's just pretending, to annoy his sister.

Miremel looks over her shoulder, then screeches "Chuuuuuuuuuuuud! You're one lazy otter, that's for sure." She laughs at her words. The ottermaid trots over to her brother's hammock and prepares to tip it....

Courage grins as he watches. He quite enjoys watching things like this.

This time the Otterscout is ready...Chud, in one fluid move, gives a triumphant "HAHAARR!"  as he leaps out of the hammock, moves behind his sister, shoves her into the hammock, and flips her out of it, all in the blink of an eye.

Miremel looks up from her moss bed and laughs. She jumps up. "Look out, Chud!" She chases him into the trees.

Chud laughs, then, seeing the look in his sister's eye, runs off as fast as his legs will carry him.  "It 'twere only a joke, sis!" he calls desperately.
