Here is information on each member of the Patrol, in alphabetical order. This is not to be taken as IC knowledge unless it is learned ICly!

Dominik Alexander Kasimir

Member of the Long Patrol since 2016

IC Age: 11 Seasons

History: Hailing from the rough 'n tumble, wintery and barren Northlands, the mahogany-furred and blue-eyed hare known as Dominik had always stuck out like a sore thumb amongst his peers due to his size, even from a very young age. Towering over the other leverets, Dom's childhood was generally a lonesome one, most of the other leverets being quite intimidated by him, although he was a very quiet and reserved little hare. The Kasimirs were boat builders, skilled in the area of woodworking and construction, and Dom's unusual size came in quite handy in this area. His father, Alexander, had trained him early in the craft, and soon enough he was toiling along with the other much older workers, helping to make ships when needed along with other more basic, everyday things. Being the Northlands, the threat of vermin and pirate attacks were always strong, and due to this Dominik and his three sisters were trained heavily in various fighting techniques including boxing, archery and swordfighting. They were always taught to keep their eyes peeled for unfamiliar ships on the horizon. On one fateful day one of these ships (the Bloodforge) ran aground, and with it came an unforgiving horde of sea rats. Dom had been out gathering wood, and when he had returned his village had been ransacked, and his family taken aboard the ship, never to be seen again. Knowing of the reputation of the Long Patrol and of Salamandastron, Dominik climbed aboard a cargo ship heading in that direction, knowing that joining the Patrol was his one and only key to one day finding his family and destroying the ship that had taken them. Upon arriving ashore, Dominik spent a majority of his time in the 67th Division in Mossflower, before finally being transferred back to his rightful place at Salamandastron.

Personality: Upon first glance, Dominik seems quite fierce and intimidating due to his massive size and constantly stoic and stern expression as well as his deep, booming voice and the massive blade he carries on his back, though in reality it'd be harder to find a buck with a more gentle countenance. Usually quite content with spending his time alone, the large buck is easily able to get along with most anyone when needed. He'd hadn't had many friends back home, and so any opportunity to change that at the Mountain is most welcome to him. His favorite activity in the Mountain is training, of course, and he is able to go for long periods of time, way after the other Patrollers are long exhausted. He's also quite keen on the occasional card game, having gotten quite good due to the time spent playing various card games with his father. There isn't a training dummy he hasn't broken, although he would be the first one to step up to fix it, and he is always more than willing to help out a fellow recruit who is in need of assistance. He was also no slouch in the eating department, able to put away at least double what a normal hare can. He is an absolutely fierce fighter, and fiercely loyal to his allies, just as happy with using his paws to break vermin in half as he is using his blade to cleave them

Elbio Hans Reed

Member of the Long Patrol since 2019

IC age:

History: Elbio always one day wanted to join the Long Patrol, so one day he left home to find them. He found a mountain but it was full of bats, not hares but the bats, in a way, did help him find 3 traveling Long Patrol hares and he helped them on some adventures and joined up with dreams of being a fighter or maybe a healer, but he still has time to decide and will. His mother was a healer, his father was always on an adventure so maybe that is where he gets his adventurous spirit from, but he does need practice.

Personality: He tends to get super excited about things, like when he finally meet his heroes the Long Patrol hares, he also fears birds, of any kind and has a lot of energy. He is willing and eager to learn and one day will make a great Long Patrol Hare.

Felicity Elizabeth Rosinbloom

Member of the Long Patrol since 2015

IC age: Adult

History: Rachelle Elizabeth Lakewood was a Fighter in the Patrol: brave, loyal, with a heart as wide as the sky. She met Quickpaw David Rosinbloom, who was a Runner in the Patrol [semicolon] they fell in love, got married, and, while still living in Salamandastron, had 3 wonderful children: David, Felicity, and the late coming surprise baby, Julia. They led a quiet (relatively, seeing as how they were in the Long Patrol), normal, happy life, but shortly after Felicity joined as a Recruit, David, a Corporal, was murdered by pirates while gathering seashells for his little sisters. Overcome with grief, Rachelle and Quickpaw, with the Badger Lord's permission, led a contingent of hares out to hunt down the rats. The searats were annihilated, but Quickpaw and Rachelle were felled. Pushing through her grief, the haremaid finished Basic Training with one of the highest scores in her class, quickly achieving the rank of Private and having the role of Runner. But the grief Felicity felt from these tremendous losses, combined with the duty she felt to raise her baby sister, were so great that it isolated her, and it wasn't until a private training session with the Badger Lord Ciocan that she finally started opening up again. After her uncle, Flint, arrived at Salamandastron after being thought dead, Felicity was ecstatic, and for a few seasons the 3 of them lived at the Mountain as one happy family. But tragedy struck again with the murder of Flint, and this time Felicity hunted down his killer, a monitor lizard. But, alas, the lizard captured her, and her vermin informant, a vixen named Rioko, came to her rescue. Felicity returned to her home to resume her duties and started training with her uncle's sabre, and when a contingent of Redwallers came, seeking aid against the invading army of Ormaz Redthorn, Felicity was promoted to Corporal, showing that her efforts were worth it.

Personality:While a bit hot-headed, Felicity strives to be in control of how she acts and reacts, no matter the circumstance or how she's feeling; however, if she is being provoked, all bets are off, even if the one doing the provoking is a fellow Long Patroller. Utterly loyal, she will stay with her friends, even to death, and she will hunt down anyone who harms her family, even at the risk of enslavement and death on her part. She is dedicated to the protection of those who are weaker than she is, and she is willing to give vermin a chance to prove that they're good (or at least not wanting to kill her). This is a lesson that was deeply ingrained into her by her parents, who, despite the Long Patrol's hatred of vermin in general, believed that everyone should be given a chance. She hates anyone who would harm a Dibbun, and will go to great lengths to stop slavers. Felicity lives to make her parents, her brother, and now her uncle proud of her, and strives to make her baby sister's life as normal as possible. She loves food, like any normal hare, and her favourites are salad and cookies. She journals and draws a lot to help her destress, and she sews to keep her little family in normal, non-uniform clothes for during their off hours. She secretly dreams of someday getting married and having a family of her own, and sees having to raise her little sister as good practice. But for now, she is trying to focus on her life as a Long Patrol member and as basically a mother to her sister. However, this dedication draws the mockery from some of her peers, and these rejections, combined with her ever-lingering sorrow over the deaths of her friends and family members, tends to make her sometimes withdrawn and quiet. But when someone is kind to her and earns her trust, she will open up and show her genuine, loving, and rather gentle spirit.

Gregorian Formalis Harthwill

Member of the Long Patrol since 2005

IC age: 26 seasons

History: Greg was found on a river with his sister by a family of otters in the south, he has no idea where he came from or what happened to his parents but he long ago accepted that he'll probably never know. He grew up with tales of the Long Patrol which eventually lead to him leaving home and travel to Salamandastron. Years of work later and Greg was a fighter, he worked in the mountain forge, got married in secret and got in a lot of fights and a few larger battles. It was one of their larger fights that lead the patrol to aid the Abbey against a horde and Greg to lose his leg, survive a plague while recovering at the abbey and ultimately retire from the patrol. Bitter from having to recently step down from active duty Greg was struck another blow as his husband died on a patrol and for a long time Greg gave up. He still worked in the forge but he withdrew and became the quiet grouch he's now better known as. Eventually he took some time off and revisited Redwall, met his wife, got married again, started at least doing sentry duty, had his daughter, got divorced and became reasonably content with his life until the loss of many of the hares at another Redwall battle gave him the push to return to active duty and due to the need for hares with his years of experience he took over the forge as Master Smith and quickly rose in the ranks within the patrol.

Personality: Greg often comes across as a big grouchy buck that should not be crossed under fear of being crushed. His bark is usually worse than his bite and he's quick to joke when he's relaxed but his bite also certainly packs a punch and he does have a bit of a temper. He tends to be quiet, no nonsense and thoughtful. Excitable crowds or over enthusiasm tend to either make him uncomfortable or irritated. He adores his daughter and enjoys his forge work a lot and has come to be very good at it but despite his skill in making weaponry he is more known amongst the forge hares as the one to do the fiddly decorative bits and he does sell a bit of jewellery in his spare time.

Isla Kincallum Lachlamuerial Hornskewpit Muir IV

Member of the Long Patrol since 2018

IC age: 8 Seasons

History: In another generation, and under another badgerlord, the Kincallums served the Long Patrol with valor, vigor, and dedication. Generations of hares lived and died at Salamandastron - including Macdougal and his wife Sinclara. The pair met in the Patrol, were married, and had a daughter, whom they named Isla... But the good times were not meant to last. Isla's mother grew sick, and when the clinics of Salamandastron and Halyard failed them, the two renounced the Long Patrol and set out to travel for a miracle healer. They left their daughter in the care of Sinclara's brother, Fergus, a bard living in Halyard. Neither of her parents survived the journey. Fergus decided to adopt his niece and train her as his apprentice, and when Isla was still a dibbun, the pair left the Western Shore to travel the world. The seasons passed, and while Isla became skilled in the way of the voice, storytelling, and magical illusion - she never felt that she was meant to be an entertainer. During the siege of Ormaz upon Mossflower, the pair were forced to reside in Redwall Abbey for protection, and after the battle stilled, Isla parted from her uncle in order to return to the Western Shore - to return home - and follow in her parent's footsteps.

Personality: Isla is a free-spirited and adventurous teenager. She has grown up on the road without roots, and adjusting to Mountain and military life is difficult and confusing for her - but she feels good, here. She is outgoing, friendly, and optimistic with little understanding of hyperbole, sarcasm, or context. Her imagination is wild and overactive, which oftentimes comes off as gullibility and an eagerness to see the real magic, despite all the tricks she herself can do. Her background is in entertainment, and as such she can be over-dramatic - but she can also perform a variety of "magical" tricks, tell captivating stories, and her voice is a thing of envy. Isla can be hard-headed and overly competitive, even when she knows she will lose, and has a bad habit of misplacing her loyalty.

Jinora Shyluck Windbell-Tottheim

Member of the Long Patrol since 2012

IC age: 12 Seasons

History: Born far to the South, Jinora comes from a large, poor family. Following the death of her father, Jinora's mother moved her and her six younger brothers to her grandfather's home on the Western Shore. Her grandfather, a retired Sergeant of the Patrol, instilled a sense of duty in young Jinora and encouraged and trained her to carry on her family's military tradition. At 7 seasons of age, she became a recruit in the Long Patrol. Jinora's serious nature and deep sense of military duty have served her well in her career as a soldier of the Patrol; but, following a serious injury to her leg some seasons back, she stalled. Finally back on track, Jinora was promoted to Lieutenant, but only served at this rank for a couple months. Following the Mountain's loss in Mossflower, she was promoted to Major. This pre-mature and rushed promotion came as a sense of deep shame for the ambitious young doe; she did not feel that the honor was earned, and it came upon the backs of such loss.

Personality: Jinora was once a shy, awkward, and bumbling teenager, but her service has hardened her over the seasons into a morally upstanding and loyal, if not a little uptight, beast. She has bookish tendencies, loves to box, and possesses a deeply rooted sense of 'what is right'. As accomplished as she may be as a fighter, she still falls short in many social settings outside of Patrol interactions. She still favors her injured leg and wears spectacles - but only when she doesn't think anyone is looking. While she continues to serve with vigor, enthusiasm, and horrible puns, she has become much more stern, serious, and stressed with her promotion to Major. Desperate to prove, to herself more than anyone, that she is deserving of the position, she needs to learn to balance her personal life with her career before her guilt and ambition drive her into the ground.

Montgomery Alexander Reginald William Baxter Fleetpaw III

Member of the Long Patrol since 2016

IC Age: 10 Seasons

History: The history of the Fleetpaws isn't nearly as glamorous or exciting as the surname would imply. Living in an area just outside of Mossflower, they were a family of farming hares. There really was never any military history within them at all, and for the most part they'd always been peaceable creatures. However, Montgomery the II, Monty's father, had always had aspirations of joining the Patrol. News of the famed military group's heroic deeds and the giant Mountain of the Fire Lizard were known far and wide, and none of it escaped the elder Fleetpaw. Hearing stories from passing travelers, the potential fame and glory seemed too good to miss out on, however his wife Cassandra had just had Monty and his two brothers, Alden and Christopher. Too caught up in his work on their farm and unable to leave his new family behind, Montgomery the II never really followed through on his dreams, and they simply faded away into obscurity. Once Monty was old enough, those dreams began to slowly return to the elder Montgomery, and he filled his son's head with those same stories that he had once been told long ago. Of course, this excited the younger hare and he spent the time when not working on the farm to start training himself and getting himself into fine fighting shape. His main focus was teaching himself how to box. After enough time had passed and he felt he was ready, Monty decided to finally set out on the journey to the Mountain, intent on making his father proud and showing that even a simple farmer can do great things. Upon arriving, he was able to join up with the Patrol, however on his first patrol mission he was attacked by vermin in Halyard who were intent on stealing his uniform. He was injured quite badly, and this incident seemed to only be the first in a line of unfortunate incidents for the young hare. Eventually he would lose half an ear and part of his sanity after being held hostage by toads, and the lingering after-effects led to him being de-activated from the Patrol. He took up a job working in the garden in the Mountain, and there he stayed until finally getting re-activated a couple of seasons later. Nothing that happens will ever keep him from wanting to do his best and show the Patrol what he is capable of.

Personality: Monty is a relatively short and compact hare, the smallest out of the three young Fleetpaws, and so he'd been forced to always defend himself in fights against his brothers. Temperament-wise, he is a kind, mentally-bright and soft-spoken hare, prone to bouts of awkwardness and clumsiness, and it's likely something that will always stay with him. He also tends to let his emotions get the better of him, though one would not be able to find a more loyal hare in all the Mountain. He lives and breathes the Patrol, and would willingly give his life for it and his comrades.

Riley Pem Whorlbuck

Member of the Long Patrol since 2016

IC age: 11 Seasons

History: The Whorlbuck's are an old and proud line of Patrol hares. Outside of a few relationships with Mossflower hares, every doe and buck born into the family has served the Patrol proudly. Riley was born in Salamandastron to Pembroke Tullybin and Chuffwick Whorlbuck. While the majority of her family served as fighters, Riley grew up shorter and leaner than her fellow family members and ended up entering the ranks of a runner. She made private after a season of recruit work. Riley's family is small. Chuffwick's younger brother, Riles, died in a battle while still a private. Riles is where she received her name, being an only child of her mother and father. Coupled with her mother dead from illness and her father elderly and retired, Riley Whorlbuck is the last of her line.

Personality: Riley is a sharp witted and sharp tongued doe. She's sarcastic, a bit bitter, and rarely loses her cool. She is an ace at dice and almost every weathered soldier in the patrol knows to not bother taking a bet on the game with Riley Whorlbuck. She can't stand laziness and is quick to grow distasteful of those she perceives as not pulling their weight. In fact, the doe is almost always busying herself with chores and errands. It's common knowledge that if you don't want to clean around the mountain or report to Halyard, Riley will for a round in the rec room or a split of your breakfast. She can also play the mandore with decent skill acquired from seasons of practice.

Terrence William Hector Cadwallader, Jr.

Member of the Long Patrol since 2015

IC age: About 12-13 Seasons

History: Terrence was the second born to two relatively successful officers in the patrol, both captains, and spent his early seasons at Salamandastron with his older brother by several seasons, William - who joined the patrol in his teens and did well for himself, becoming a lieutenant at a relatively early age. Seasons later when it came Terrence's turn to start in the Patrol he wanted something else: always preferring books and libraries to swords and battlefields, Terrence had become rather disenfranchised with the patrol and soldiering over the years. The young hare had long observed how his father, Cpt. T.W.H. Cadwallader, Sr, was an overly-aggressive leader who often caused excessive casualties due to his daring and dangerous tactics. Effective, certainly, but often careless. So the young Cadwallader studied strategies, tactics, and military history as he was sure how his father carried on couldn't be quite right. After a particularly heated row with his parents, Terrence left the mountain to pursue any sort of learning, traveling from town to town and sticking almost exclusively to the coast. Though unknown he was happy for a season - until a training accident involving a very unlucky javelin throw killed his brother. Upon hearing the news, Terrence made his way back to the mountain, were, still on bad terms with his parents, he joined up as a basic recruit. Later, by what the then private guessed was an order influenced by his father, Terrence was stationed as a scout for several seasons on a remote island about three weeks journey from the mountain, not seeing any action at all while there. Once he was transferred back he was promoted to corporal to help with the training of fresh recruits. After a season, an incident with two privates Terrence was friendly with involving a pie, wine barrel, and a live fish lead to the three hares facing disciplinary action and the corporal took full responsibility; being moved to inactive duty just before the large army of hares left to fight in Mossflower. Both the two privates and his father were among the dead. Once his season-long punishment was done, Terrence was put back into active duty, and, after helping with a disaster of a training exercise and its cleanup, the hare was promoted to sergeant.

Personality: Terrence, as a rule, is rather cautious - this is often reflected in his tactics, which he has quite a talent for. Once a reserved and quiet hare who thought little of his interactions with others, he has grown into very intelligent and quick thinking creature, though prone to melancholy at times. While he has maintained his love of books and history, he has become capable of focusing wholly on the task at paw and devoting himself to finishing it - and succeeding, from time to time. However, this single mindedness sometimes leads to moments he comes off as callous or rude, resulting in many cases were he puts his foot in his mouth (much like in his early days). Despite this, he is a kind and compassionate hare who tries his best to help those he sees around him and prevent any more loses in the line of duty than is necessary. There is a part of Terrence that seems to almost dislike being in the patrol himself, and some of the more boastful hares around him, yet he still believes in it with all his heart and is willing to put his life on the line for his fellow hares.

Varus Trinius Visurgis Swiftbuck II

Member of the Long Patrol since 2018

IC age: Older

History: The Swiftbucks are a very old family with a long association with the Long Patrol, going back at least 8 generations. Major Varus is one of the most highly decorated Swiftbucks, having served with distinction under Lord Sebastian for over 25 seasons. Rising to the rank of Major, he led his patrol to many victories, before deciding late in life to hang up his sabre and retire. Unfortunately, he would not enjoy his rest for long, being drawn back out of retirement after the Patrol suffered stunning losses in Mossflower. He is therefore one of the most highly experienced hares in the Patrol.

Personality: Varus is a stickler for the rules. As a result, he can come across as gruff and uncompromising. Those in the know can avow he can show a sense of humor, but that is rare to be seen. Varus has a strained relationship with his second son Adrian. Varus is a Fighter, Adrian chose to be a Runner. The two rarely agree on anything.

Zolomon Arturo Garrick Anderson IV

Member of the Long Patrol since 2018

IC age: Adult

History: Zolomon has lived in Mossflower most of his life; his mother Kiara was once a member of the long Patrol but left after a short while. His grandfather Jake Scioto Lafur Foreston Lakewood Johnson III. His father he knew very little of as he died when he was very young and his mother took him to Mossflower Village to live, but she grew ill and died, so he was alone at 7 Seasons... He inherited his grandfathers longbow and was skilled at it, he became even better with practice and became a deadly shot with it, one of the best in Mossflower and he could run very fast - faster than a lot of the runners in even the Long Patrol he found out one day when he ran into some and had a race with some runners and won. That started his interest in the Long Patrol but he wouldn't see them again for a few seasons. He came to Mossflower and meet who would later be his best friend at Ferrvale, a badger named Xander. A couple seasons later he joined the Mossflower Defenders that Xander created. The two went to Salamandastron to give some news on how things were at the abbey, Zolomon meet Lord Ciocan that day and got to see a little of how the Long Patrol ran things and secretly thought of joining, but it wouldn't be till later on when Mossflower was under threat and slowly being taken over by a stoat named Ormaz that Zolomon would get the chance to see Salamandastron again. He went there with Xander and some of the members of The Mossflower Defenders. He joked how Basic Training was likely =easy= and told Lord Ciocan to =bring it on= and later wished he didn't say those words. But he started to like the Long Patrol,he made it through basic training with flying colors, made friends in the Long Patrol and decided he would stay. After the horde was defeated and Mossflower and the abbey once more safe, he left the Mossflower Defenders, but he would keep in touch with letters, and officially joined the Long Patrol as a runner, a private and of course went to live at Salamandastron

Personality: Zolomon is a joker, he loves to have fun but he also knows when to be serious. He loves to cheer up anyone he sees that is sad, if your sad and Zolomon finds out he will try to cheer you up best he can. He is very loyal and protective of his friends and loved ones. He also likes to give any beast he meets a nick name, such as Lord C (Lord Ciocan) or Abbot B (Abbot Benar)..some names are something like Gramps once for an extremely old beast he meet and knew. He will still say Sur and his Lordship to the Badger Lord but sometimes a nickname may slip. He has learned a lot from joining the Long Patrol one being how to better use a saber and handle up close fighting, but he is still an extremely fast runner and deadly with the longbow. Also like most hares, he loves food and ale, pie is a favorite food of his.

Zeldove Rose Fay Swiftpaw

Member of the Long Patrol since 2020

IC Age: Adult

History: She was born in Mossflowerr Village and learned archer skills from her uncle, her father and her mother knew some skills with the sling and a little healing, She lost her mother when she was a dibbun when a fairly bad winter hit the area, her father raised her and one day she joined the Mossflower Defenders and became an archer/fighter for them. Her longbow skills improved, though they were already fairly good, speed and distance with the longbow was self taught as well as family taught. She learned teamwork skills from Mossflower Defenders. When she went to the Abbey she talked with a Private Ewan, who became a friend to her and she learned about the Long Patrol from him, she even improved her blade skills thanks to him. One day while patrolling the road her and Ewan saved a family of squirrels from a fox and two other vermin, the hares won but Ewan died of his wounds while Zeldove held him in her arms, there was nothing a healer could do for his wounds and before one could even be summoned...he was gone. He was like a big brother to her and after his funeral she told Xander Winters, the leader of Mossflower Defenders, she was going to join the Long Patrol as a way to honor Ewan's memory and so she went to the Western Shores, she brought news to Lord Ciocan and his hares of what happen to Private Ewan.A couple days later she was a recruit but she showed great skills with the longbow in a contest with the Long Patrol's top archer Corporal Zolomon, also showed physical strength with outdoing all the other recruits with push ups, sit ups and her blade skills were fairly good, yes she would need to improve as any hare does. Some discussion and she was made into a Private and Fighter as rank, then given a division to be in. She plans to improve in paw-to-paw and blade, as well work on running. She can also use the sling, climb fairly well and has some tracking skills.

Personality: She dislikes being bored and does her best to get along with others. She loves to show off her archery skills to anyone who asks. She can be happy one moment and peeved the next if the wrong thing is said. She HATES foxes, serious hates them as they killed her best friend. She loves winter time and truly misses seeing a lot of snow. She pays attention and learns things fairly quickly. She likes to try new things also. She also knows the importance of teamwork.
