Redwall MUCK geography is vast due to its lax building policy. The world currently comprises almost 17,000 rooms, some created as early as 1995. Though the size of the map can make it very maze-like, globals such as portal help quicken navigation. And a stuck player can always go home.
Much of canon and basic infrastructure is owned by staff-controlled characters--Atlas or CanonBuilder--and is available for RP use by all. Non-canon rooms controlled by players are not required to be public.
